Pete_7 Verified Member Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 You know if Gibby wanted the best lineup tommorow he should put Rajai in LF, Melky at DH, Edwin at 3rd
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 My dad was at the game and I can't wait to hear what he has to say lol. f***ing love this team.

havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 That was an incredible ball game from start to finish. A playoff atmosphere at the RC tonight.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2013 Author Posted June 22, 2013 Were you there? Nah, I just couldn't do the GDT because laptop died and Gardiner was a bitchhh on traffic, still caught half of the game on TV including the walkoff!

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 No way! Awesome! Oldest player to ever hit his first career homer in a Jays uniform, according to Bucky.

I know our starting pitching had been great the last 2 weeks but this O's offence is like running the damn gauntlet for pitchers. Some scary hitters in a puny homer friendly dome.
Metallijay Verified Member Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Whats up with bautista? He is doing nothing. Sick of dickey, unless he turns it around I don't think we have a realistic shot at anything. Of course I had to miss this game and kawasaki's HR.
Pulk_Pull Verified Member Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Was at the game. Thought it was over twice when the O's went up by two (the bats were dead all night). What a finish... hope this brings up 40+ tomorrow!

Saki must have felt at home. that's the kind of atmosphere most Japanese league games have. they are crazier than Brazilian soccer fans. I wonder if they had a vote now, how many people would pick Bumfiasco over Kawasaki? probably just AA and anyone he pays to agree with him.

theblujay Verified Member Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 What a win!! This is the amazing streak that I was looking forward to back in the spring!!! Dickey is still a mess, but the offense came through.

Bautista is in a slump plain and simple. It's amazing how many people can't understand even the best players can slump. As for Dickey, yeah he has been bad more often than not, but were just going to have to ride this out and hope for the best. Our lineup and pen will keep this team going when the pitching is not.
OtisNixonFan Verified Member Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Us not having a complete game all year is killing me. f***, I miss the Good Doctor.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Us not having a complete game all year is killing me. f***, I miss the Good Doctor. He was great with the Jays but at the end f the day I would rather win than see certain players here and this team has a chance to do some damage. Hopefully JJ can step it up because he might very well be the ace of this staff when it's all said and done.
jaysfaithful8 Verified Member Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Just to add to all the celebrations, the Jays bullpen has the lowest ERA ever for a month so far in June. The record is held by Orioles for giving up 6 runs over 70.1 innings in 1965. Jays on pace to beat it with 4 runs over 55.2 innings (0.65 ERA!) Whole article is here: http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/jays-notebook-bullpen-among-mlbs-stingiest/

Chance they give up <3 runs in the rest of June? Probably not so great
flafson Verified Member Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 I think AA has a big problem right now, he believes ALOT in leadership and clubhouse gelling together. If you send down Kawasaki you risk losing that mindset. Only "long" term option is to train Kawasaki at playing 2nd base and trade Boni. I don't see them sending an arm down and not sure they want to send Kawasaki down.

Don't know the last time I saw energy like that at a Jays game. Usually even when it's packed, it's a dull boring crowd.
