Caper Verified Member Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Oliver calms me down. Hes a trade chip if we aren't in the race. But if we are hes still the guy I trust the most to get me a zero. He's a trade chip if you are in the race.
Metallijay Verified Member Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Hope the Jays keep this up. Need to start winning series against the AL EAST.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 does anybody got some points for picking him today? even that it wasnt the first one nah not today.
blackjays21 Verified Member Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 No way I want him in that pen. hes only signed for this year, if we are not in the race for the playoffs then trade him for anything.. atleast this way we don't lose him to retirement at the end of the season
Metallijay Verified Member Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Delabar just seems to lose control and always does the token walk.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Delabar for Thames was a fantastic trade. Delabar for Thames = Great Rogers for Yan/Mike = 2XGreat lol
blackjays21 Verified Member Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Obviously. He said hes a trade chip if we are in the race. I want him traded if we have no shot at playoffs. ah I must of misread that one.. why would anybody wanna trade oliver IF WE ARE IN THE RACE ? he is as steady as could be... stupid idea caper!
blackjays21 Verified Member Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 anyway big win tonight.. f***ing esmil has been lights out ever since becoming a starter!
Metallijay Verified Member Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Make it 8............................
cesarb182 Verified Member Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Delabar looks nervous even with a 5 run lead. Nice win guys let's repeat moneyball with a lot of money!!!

I don't know if he's even the 6th option now... he would probably be on the bubble if they had to make a decision now on who to send down if they moved to a 7 man pen. I wonder if Oliver still has options.
blackjays21 Verified Member Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 He struck out the side lol. He had the right approach to Rosario. He usually gets himself out. lol yea nice pitching by delabar I still remember that 4 strikeout inning by him .. thing of beauty
SexyNewForum Verified Member Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 team has been fantastic to watch the last month great win awesome pitching esmil

I don't know if oliver has options or not but he is a vetrinn lol I think he would rather be traded then to be sent down to the minor leagues
blackjays21 Verified Member Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 team has been fantastic to watch the last month great win awesome pitching esmil yea he held a no hitter into the 5th inning.. he pitched a fantasic game and kept the hitters looking foolish! who needs morrow?? pfft
Caper Verified Member Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 ah I must of misread that one.. why would anybody wanna trade oliver IF WE ARE IN THE RACE ? he is as steady as could be... stupid idea caper! You deal out of a position of strength. The pen is a position of strength. Janssen Cecil Delabar Loup Wagner McGowan That's 6 guys right there that you keep ahead of Oliver. McGowan is off right now... but he is only going to get better and personally I think has the most upside in the pen.... he'll shake off the rust and be very good if his arm doesn't explode. Either way if he is healthy they aren't exposing D-Mac over Oliver. For the 7th spot you have Oliver, Perez, Stillson, Lincoln, Carreno... and Santos if he can ever get healthy. Oliver is good. He is a calming presence, does command respect and probably provides intangibles out there...... but he's still 43 and expendable.
Caper Verified Member Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 yea that is what I thought you meant.. I don't know if oliver has options or not but he is a vetrinn lol I think he would rather be traded then to be sent down to the minor leagues I was joking about the options part... he's been in the league 100 years... but no. You deal from a position of strength to fill holes elsewhere. I think he could be a great piece for a trade.

I think McGowan may be able to put it all together in the pen and keep his arm from falling off.. our bullpen is a position of strength . its been a while since we could say that.
charlie460 Verified Member Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 hescars seems to be 404ing now... interesting Just a head's up, guys... I am having major bandwidth issues with this Mets/Braves series that's going on (~200ish viewers), so the Jays stream has been held off, but tomorrow should be a bit quieter, I will likely stream the game tomorrow.
