JFD Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 JPA is a joke. he's like Buster Posey without the talent
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 We better f***ing claim Fransisco and trade for Ackley

havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Remember, a lot of teams wanted Dickey, not just the Jays. Texas was rumored--just be glad they didn't get him, or Oakland's in 1st place right now. Remember, the Mets wanted to trade him because they felt they couldn't afford him, especially with a rebuild. Travis D'Arnaud is not a sure thing--he's on the DL in Vegas right now. Noah Syndegaard is a long ways away--he's only in high-A ball. Mike Aviles is only playing because Lonnie Chisenhall still hasn't developed yet in Cleveland--and Aviles' numbers are a small sample size. It doesn't f***ing matter what d'Arnaud and Syndergaard become in the future. What matters is how much value we gave up in that trade. At the time of the trade we gave up two top 50 prospects for a 38 year old knuckleball pitcher. Dickey has been utter s*** and nothing resembling what he was in that 3 year period with the Mets. AA got freaking pillaged.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 HAHAHAHAH... Catcher's interference on JPA>. it just keeps getting better! Interference? What did he do? I can't watch it on TV

Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 he's like Buster Posey without the talent Don't insult Buster.

It makes me want to weep when I remember that we could have had a 1 for 1 swap of d'Arnaud and Latos and instead we ship d'Arno AND Syndgaard for Dickey
digiblader Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I think we know who gets sent down when we add a position player--and it's likely Brad Lincoln.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 Interference? What did he do? I can't watch it on TV He stuck his glove out and interfered with Heyward's swing
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 I think we know who gets sent down when we add a position player--and it's likely Brad Lincoln. Send him to Atlanta with a fringe prospect for Juan Francisco
IBTrini Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 They didn't seem to want to take any chances last night pulling rogers out in the 4th when he was clearly pitching better then Dickey is tonight. Unbelievable they let him to though the 6th Last night was a different scenario - Rogers had reached his pitch count since he was not stretched as a starter and at that point he had already allowed 2 on with 1 out. It was the right move in my opinion.
dmrich28 Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 He stuck his glove out and interfered with Heyward's swing it's Jp's way of "framing a pitch"

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 You know it's bad when I've watched the last 5 nascar races and actually starting to enjoy it
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 We better f***ing claim Fransisco and trade for Ackley Ackley is over hyped garbage also. Trade EE or Bautista to Texas for Profar.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 it's Jp's way of "framing a pitch" Yup, stick the glove out and catch it before it breaks into the zone lol #top10catcher
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I swear that he is the firstJay player I have ever hated. And I loathe him with a passion us guys hating JPA is one thing but I thought a female hating him was grounds for vagina removal.
digiblader Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 As I said, it could've happened to anybody. Jays weren't the only team interested. Rangers and Angels were apparently mentioned, along with Pittsburgh, Kansas City,Washington and the Dodgers.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 Ackley is over hyped garbage also. Trade EE or Bautista to Texas for Profar. Ackley will do better than Izzy and Boni combined. Throw him at 2nd, especially since Seattle don't view him as anything big. Texas aren't stupid. They'll demand more than EE or Bautista
dmrich28 Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 oh well..I guess they were lucky to get a split
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 You know it's bad when I've watched the last 5 nascar races and actually starting to enjoy it Toronto's pro ultimate frisbee (officially disc) team is 7-0 and has a home game on Saturday. It's the team to get behind.
