Metallijay Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 This tea is stuck 7-8 game below .500 pitching has been so bad, not going anywhere with this staff.
Tuco Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 It doesnt even matter if both d'Arnaud and Syndergaard bust. When they were traded they both had solid value and we traded them for this bum? Old, trick pitcher? Just gross. AA should be fired for move alone.
over500 Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I'm glad we traded away d'Arnaud and Syndergaard for this s***
theblujay Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Seriously this guy is atrocious. Meatball after meatball I'm not sure who I'm madder at: Dickey or AA for that moronic trade.
Iluvbjs Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I'm tired of watching this idiot already. what a f***ing joke this guy is.... a CY Young winner? Please, his team gives him three runs and he comes out and gives it up immediately. This guy, when our staff is healthy is lucky to be a number 5. Sick of watching him give up 10+ hits everyt time out.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 An Ace throws a 0 on the board... Dickey IS NOT an ace Why couldn't we trade Latos for d'Arnaud when we had the chance?!
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 See? That's why I hate him. And that 3 run inning now dissapears not a hard hit ball in the inning...
theblujay Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Just start bullpen guys in groups of 3 every day Buehrle isn't pitching.
Metallijay Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Dickey has no strike out stuff this year,f*** he blows. Big mistake leaving him in after the first two reached. His knuckler is not moving like it did, teams can just sit back and wait and hit it the opposite field.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 There's just no value at all in Dickey... He's awful and his contract is untradable. Cannot believe how much AA gave up for him.
theblujay Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 not a hard hit ball in the inning... He's not getting any Ks against a team that Ks a lot. I don't care if they were weak hits, an ace doesn't give the 3 runs right back.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 RA dickless at it again.. what a bum this guy is. fuuuck
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 not a hard hit ball in the inning... I was talking about Schafer, I hate this dude, this whole series he's either hitting extra base hits with no one on or driving in runs
dmrich28 Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 really sad when MB is our best starter....just wait till next year
Metallijay Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I have had it with dickey, every time he's pitched with a chance to win a series and maybe get some momentum he shits the bed, cannot believe we gave up very good prospects for this 38 year old trick pitcher.
Cello Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Minor 86 pitches, 61 strikes Dickey 98 pitches, 65 strikes
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Time to blow this thing up! Do what the Raptors are doing and go offer a ridiculous contract to Friedman or Daniels.
Cello Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Dickey has a 5.18 ERA. what an ace for a pretender.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I have had it with dickey, every time he's pitched with a chance to win a series and maybe get some momentum he shits the bed, cannot believe we gave up very good prospects for this 38 year old trick pitcher. AA gave up our two best prospects to lose more games than he would have with a random FA signing...
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 really sad when MB is our best starter....just wait till next year what happens next year?
Metallijay Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 lol at how bad this team is considering the offseason moves, starter era is worse then last year. Think about that, last years staff was decimated by injuries. Josh Johnson gave up 6 runs in AAA lol, news gets better.
kmoss Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 They didn't seem to want to take any chances last night pulling rogers out in the 4th when he was clearly pitching better then Dickey is tonight. Unbelievable they let him to though the 6th
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 not a hard hit ball in the inning... Gattis smoked it to lead the inning off, but McCann took advantage of no one on the left side (which I hate), and Pena's hit should probably have been snared by both EE and Boni, and neither came up with it. 3 runs is still 3 runs though.
IBTrini Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 With Lind's new found approach this year,it's laughable that he isn't a full time starter. I know tonight is different visiting the NL, but how can Gibby justify sitting Lind in favor of DeRosa against lefties. When Rajai is healthy, its at least debatable. Re read my post.i said tonight was different being in a NL park. I saw where you mentioned it was different however you continued the sentence with "but how can Gibby justify sitting Lind in favor of DeRosa against lefties." How about accepting he did not have much of a choice since 3B needed to be filled and he wanted to also have both Cabrera and Encarnacion in the lineup.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 He's not getting any Ks against a team that Ks a lot. I don't care if they were weak hits, an ace doesn't give the 3 runs right back. Bingo. Rogers, who people were s***ing on, struck out 4 in 3 innings. Dickey only got two. His knuckler isn't dancing, nor is it hard. This dude is lobbing changeups up in the zone
Tuco Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Dickey has a 5.18 ERA. Sad part is its prolly not going to get better. Dude is OLD and his body is breaking down.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 The Marlins deal looks bad, but at the end of teh day we gave up some half decent prospects and took on salary. Not a HUGE deal. A big deal, but not a HUGE deal. The Dickey trade looks like a downright franchise crippler. Trading a potential COTF and a top of the rotation starter for a guy who doesn't even look like he belongs in the majors.
