connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Why did Morrow go out? Just seeing box score on my phone. So busy at work, can anyone give me the short answer?
bzapple Verified Member Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Velocity was down and Gibbons said he was dealing with some forearm soreness.

kcjaysfan Verified Member Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 He had really low velocity on his pitches, and they took him out, saying he had forearm soreness.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Shi Davidi @ShiDavidi 4m #BlueJays PR says Brandon Morrow left game with forearm soreness and he's expected to make his next start I might rather he not
bzapple Verified Member Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I might rather he not Yeah, we gotta make sure Jenkins/Ortiz/Rogers get plenty of starts. Especially Ortiz because you have to honour your commitment to a vetrin like him.
Nox Verified Member Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Very much doubt he makes his next start on time. Is it time for: Ricky Romero III - The Return of Rickey Romero Returns? not srs
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/jays-fall-to-mccann-braves-in-tenth-inning/ Here's some quotes: “I didn’t know how it was going to be until I got out there,” he said. “I thought it was going to be okay. It felt loose yesterday but not real explosive, but I had a lot of work done on it.” -Morrow “We don’t think it’s much of an issue,” Gibbons said. “The doctors don’t think it’s much of an issue. It’s one of those things where we held him out as a precaution.” -Gibbons There's also a video on the site where Morrow says it's not near the ligament just to put that to rest. I'm still doubtful he makes his next start but at least we're not looking at another TJS.
Tuco Verified Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 I know Gibby was the one who decided to pull Morrow but Morrow is soft. This guy is always sporting some type of little injury and when he isnt hes extremely inconsistant. I love the line I heard earlier this season when someone said he doesnt do good and healthy in the same season. Just seems like one of those many talented players who will never put it all together (similar to Rasmus).

backontop Verified Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 40 years ago Morrow would have dueled the best the Braves could throw at us even if it took 15 innings, result Blue Jays 5 Braves 4 BTW Juan Marischall duelled Warren Span 16 innings in the early 1960's, Result The Giants or Braves won 1 to 0, check google if you want to. That was the day when men were men and PLAYED like it. Both starters went the whole 16 innings. They were paid only $10,000 a year, so they weren't babied. RARELY DID WE HEAR OF A Dis !What AA & Beeston FAIL to understand, that if you put your 20 million dollar horse on the DL for 60 days, HE CAN'T EARN HIS MONEY THEN!!!!!!!!!!!!
backontop Verified Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 If he had hemmorrieds, he's be out for three months, even tho just a small dab would cure youShi Davidi @ShiDavidi 4m #BlueJays PR says Brandon Morrow left game with forearm soreness and he's expected to make his next start
