Notes:

 

Orioles::

  • Jenkins faced Baltimore once last season in his rookie campaign. He pitched 3 1/3 innings out of the bullpen on August 25, when he surrendered four earned runs on six hits with two walks and a strikeout.
  • Nick Markakis is currently riding a 10 game hitting streak after singling last night.
  • O's 1B Chris Davis had another extra-base hit last night, lining an RBI double down the right-field line in the first inning. Davis leads with the Orioles with a .718 slugging percentage, the highest total for any batter that qualifies for the batting title.

 

Jays:

  • Toronto's offense has averaged 5.67 runs per game through the first three games of the series, and Jose Bautista and Adam Lind are on a tear. Each player has a batting average higher than .300 and an on-base-plus-slugging percentage higher than 1.000 in May.
  • Josh Johnson started yesterday in the 2nd of his 3 rehab starts necessary.

When gose bats before 8th in his 2nd start of the year, your lineup isn't very good.

 

When the White Juan Pierre bats 6th, you know something is wrong.

 

When a guy who will likely set the record for the worst K/BB ratio in the history of baseball is batting 5th you know something is wrong

Gibbons needs to be fired just for continuously batting JP fifth, idiotic. Nearly 50 games in, team has one of the worst records in baseball.................After all the moves the offseason maybe even worse then last year.

there really aren't any other options. none of the guys hitting behind JPA are any better than him. you cant put 5 guys 8th in the lineup.

It was an exaggeration idiot, and yes there are lots of options ,heck even rasmus has been decent at least with RISP.
