Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 The Blue Jays were trying to WIN THE GAME, not improve their run differential in the event of a loss. Lind's run meant nothing. It did mean something because the tieing run would have been at 2nd with one out instead of 1st
Figgy1R22R Verified Member Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Lawrie needs to sit next game and think about what he did.
Tuco Verified Member Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Lawrie was a hero in his own mind and thought he was getting high 5s for an RBI. on the way back to the dugout he was barking at either Lind or Rivera for Rivera not sending Lind to get thrown out at home plate when they were still down 2 runs. Lawrie is an ego that wont go away. I think he's a cancer and this was the tipping point. Gibbons clearly said ******** and it was clear he'd had enough. I agree.
Tuco Verified Member Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 It did mean something because the tieing run would have been at 2nd with one out instead of 1st It's extremely simple. THE RISK WASNT WORTH THE REWARD!!!
Metallijay Verified Member Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Lawrie needs to sit next game and think about what he did. Agreed, he needs to be benched, idiot. The worst part is he shows a clear lack of understanding of the situation, linds run meant squat.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2013 Author Posted May 26, 2013 I have a feeling Lawrie's going to get benched.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I have a feeling Lawrie's going to get benched. Wanna bet on that...
Cello Verified Member Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I see a "that's ********" somewhere in there. I assume Lawrie is claiming he was pissed about Lind not scoring, but Gibbons thinks he just wanted the RBI and called ********. +1. I agreed with the "********" part. Fortunately, Jose was there to intervene.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 No, because Arencibia wasn't tagging up from first no matter what. Markakis was throwing to the cut-off man, because he knew the situation. Lind didn't matter. So they were giving us the run to make it a 1 run game and we and we said f*** it lets see what else happens...thats stupid baseball
Shogun89 Verified Member Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 How about Aroncibia going 3/4 with 2 opposite field base hits, a walk, and 0 strikeouts.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2013 Author Posted May 26, 2013 Wanna bet on that... Not with you, lol. I think we can all agree that Gibby is f***ing awesome. Agreed, but I think Lawrie kicks Gibby's ass. +1. I agreed with the "********" part. Fortunately, Jose was there to intervene. T'was a very vetrin play.
Cello Verified Member Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I have a feeling Lawrie's going to get benched. AA will not let that happen.
admin Site Manager Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 How about Aroncibia going 3/4 with 2 opposite field base hits, a walk, and 0 strikeouts. Great AB there. AFter that first swing I thought we were screwed.
