Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Ben Nicholson-Smith Oliver on 15-day disabled list with shoulder strain. Happ to 60 day DL. Nolin has contract selected per Blue Jays.
oakville69 Verified Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Bad news about Oliver, but at age 42 this was bound to happen. Hopefully, Josh Johnson can come back soon.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 I forgot Oliver was even on this team to be honest.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2013 Author Posted May 24, 2013 I forgot Oliver was even on this team to be honest. Ortiz to the bullpen lol
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2013 Author Posted May 24, 2013 Janssen (CL) Delabar Cecil Loup Rogers Lincoln Jenkins Ortiz A creepy and horrific damn bullpen.
digiblader Verified Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Jenkins is in the rotation until Johnson returns in a week or two. Then, he or Ortiz goes to the minors.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2013 Author Posted May 24, 2013 Rotation Dickey Morrow Buehrle Jenkins Nolin Bullpen Janssen (CL) Delabar Cecil Loup Rogers Lincoln Jenkins Ortiz
digiblader Verified Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 We need a true long man that can eat innings. Don't want to end up burning up multiple relievers--like Boston did last night because Dempster failed to get to the 4th inning.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 We may need the help of Stilson and/or Stroman in the bullpen soon.
digiblader Verified Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 You put Jenkins in twice--he's in the rotation until Josh Johnson comes off the DL next week, then the Jays will decide whether to keep him in the rotation, the bullpen or AA/AAA.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 We may need the help of Stilson and/or Stroman in the bullpen soon. Any idea why Stilson has only pitched 4.1 innings this year?
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 A little disappointed that Happ is on the 60 day. Will be interesting for Nolin to see how he handles things. I just finished watching his game against Trenton on May 12th. There are going to be a lot of people that don't watch prospects that are shocked when they see how sloppy he looks on the mound. He's badly off balance and it leaves him in a terrible defensive position. He's a deception guy, those kinds of guys tend to do well first time being seen by teams. No pitch looked special to me but he got a lot of swings outside of the zone. If he can throw the curve for strikes it allows him to avoid having to throw the FB too much. He looks really good at keeping the ball down. He's given up very few HR's which should help him if that continues. Guys like Markakis, JJ Hardy and Davis should give him the most trouble as they are good FB/CB hitters. Those will be the interesting AB's tonight.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Any idea why Stilson has only pitched 4.1 innings this year? Held him back to try and rework the delivery. He can't continue with the violent delivery he has. So technically they started him on the DL but from what I understand it was just extended spring training.

admin Site Manager Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 I honestly though Happ was going to be back quick. Can't believe it's going to be that long. Have they said the reasoning? Is it concussion symptoms?
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Haven't heard at all. Last report was that his knee was the biggest issue.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2013 Author Posted May 24, 2013 Patrick Corbin is dominating the league after add +3Mph. Let's Go Nolin lol
The_DH Verified Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 I know I read somewhere that it was his knee was twisted on the fall. Not sure I believe it, just throwing it out there.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 If Nolin could come up and go all Corbin on us, that would be awesome.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2013 Author Posted May 24, 2013 Every other team gets lucky and has random prospects turn into good #3s on arrival. Would be a nice surprise for it to happen for us here. Colbin wasn't a big deal, he just add 3Mph lol Todd Helton "Patrick Corbin has best slider I've ever seen"
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Just saw a pic of Nolin, he's a sexy fella, not gonna lie.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2013 Author Posted May 24, 2013 Just saw a pic of Nolin, he's a sexy fella, not gonna lie. Sexy eyes (That was very gay)

I could see it happening, lefty with plus velocity (well, for an LHP). Sexy eyes (That was very gay) Tu es en maricon
