The only solution is for AA to demand that Rogers play "take a walk" by Passion Pit whenever JPA gets an at bat. I think they can override whatever JPA has as his walk up music. It's becoming a joke that JP refuses to take a walk.

He has a 0.239 OBP.

He has a 0.297 wOBA despite being a bottom-3 defender in the league at his position and getting time purely for his bat.

He hits 4th or 5th in the lineup.

Funny thing I noticed... Cubs catcher Castillo has only walked ONCE in nearly as many AB as JP (130 vs 160). Although he also has nearly half as many strike-outs. Technically Castillo's BB:K rate is even worse than JP.... if you can believe it. It's weird that catchers who see more pitches than anyone else often are very low OBP guys.

I was in the let them split time 50/50 camp and most laughed at me for that. I have always been of the mindset that young catchers should be eased in and mentored unless were talking about the few exceptions that come along which JPA was not. Mentoring probably wouldn't have helped him though since he is an arrogant pile of s***.
