  1. Minnesota Twins second baseman Eddie Rosario has been suspended 50 games for a second positive test for a drug of abuse in violation of baseball’s minor league drug program. Rosario is on the roster of Double-A New Britain and his suspension, announced Saturday, will begin at the start of the Rock Cats’ season. The 21-year-old Rosario was a fourth-round pick in 2010. He batted .302 with 10 homers and 73 RBIs in 122 games split between Class-A and Double-A last year. He is the second player suspended for violating the minor league drug program this year, both for drugs of abuse. There were 60 suspensions last year under the minor league program and 16 under the major league program. This copy and paste sure makes posting easy. Thanks for showing me how. 60 suspensions in the minors, wow guess that saying "the apple don't fall far from the tree" has some ooomph to it.
  2. Religion is often used as a reason for going to war, but it is rarely the purpose.
  3. The Royal Canadian Mint announced that they are going to take the polar bear off the toonie, and replace it with two gay male deers copulating . In other words, it's two f***ing bucks.
  4. I say the blue jays... thread did say possible, not probable.
  5. Pedro Martinez wasn't successful ? He was skinnier than stroman, and maybe a tad taller, not considered a big guy by any stretch of the imagination. So it has happened, and true they are the exception to the rule.
  6. Nolin, davis, tirado, nay , barreto, stroman and sanchez top 7. Now watch none of them amount to anything.
  7. Why would anyone who stays real in a internet forum be afraid to post their picture? Unless .........................................................
  8. You really eat/drink that garbage ?
  9. Being intentionally bad is inexcusable. That pitch looked pretty good, and she obviously has good control and can spot her pitches, judging from that shot between the eyes.
  10. From what I see, sound like that ump made multiple bad calls on pitches to previous batters, if you listen to the comments from the bleachers or coach. If the bases were loaded by biased calls, then he deserved not a pitch to the head..but squarely in the nuts. And what he gets paid,if anything has sweet F all to do with anything.
  11. Nobody can be definitive about the future regarding human behavior and contributions. But I agree JPA had to go,whatever he does from here on in, it's the correct move at this point in time.
  12. Who the F are you ? You don't like this thread.. GTFO, nobody wants to hear your whimpering.
  13. To all the new posters... whale cum to this site of deep baseball insight where people recite advanced stats which incites negative spite betwixt the wrong and right. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  14. Yup, these picks are head scratchers, but you can't go wrong with either trout or cabrerra.
  15. " but I certainly hope I don't insult you. " I don't believe you have, and if you did it must have been back a few years. I remember our disagreements on cito's handling of olerud and snider, and that you explained your views with civility. As far as boxcar goes, I don't have a problem with him. He seems like an ok guy,if fact most here are. Anyone who loves baseball must have enough redeeming qualities that outweigh their negative traits. The cabrerra and trout argument is more about how one defines MVP.
  16. Boxcar = not worthy to to deem a post not worthy.
  17. LOL...... pedantic ..... Haven't heard this word used in ages. Got to hand it to you bts, you do know the english language.. wtg !
  18. It means their golfing season begins at the same time, with gose or trout at CF.
  19. " I’m of the school that in order to have “value” you have to help your team be good, "at least to the point of contending. The Angels didn’t truly contend. " ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Now this DOES make sense. If Gose played CF for the angels every game this past season, the Angels would have been non contenders throughout the year and their season ends the same way. So how valuable was trout? Best player of the year is another story.
  20. How dare you decide what is thread worthy or not ! If every baseball fan had the same opinion on every topic, there would be no discussions, and forums like this would have no reason to exist. Be thankful there are people like me and others like me that are capable of independent thought.
  21. Really ? I did not know that.. thanks.
  22. For a pitcher, and they still walk batter to get to him, because the best hitting pitcher is still hitting 9th. Question, has there ever been a pitcher in modern day baseball that hit in a spot other than 9th ? Just asking, it wouldn't surprise me if the answer is yes.
  23. You are arguing with people who worship OBP. And this is fine, but not at the expense of your best power hitter getting on base via the walk, especially when there's a JPA type on deck. In the NL it's routinely done to the #8 batter to get at the pitcher, but hey he's on base..whoooohooo, come on Greinke hit er over the fence !
