eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 morrow's been pushed back it's ramon ortiz tomorrow bro, lol. aw jeeze
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 We currently have: Ortiz, Rogers, Lincoln, and some other guy with a weird name that I can't remember right now. It's a thin bullpen. Well those are garbage time pitchers. The one's that have pitched meaningful innings have been good so far this year. Gibby's management helps.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 With that said though, Aviles and Snider make this team better. Means no need for Bonifacio or DeRosa (although he has been solid) Agreed. AA greatly undervalues the bench it seems.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Santos is good when his arm isn't falling off, Cecil is great, Jansen is great, Oliver is decent, Loup is decent, Rogers and Lincoln are misses i guess. Not a bad pen. Don't forget Delabar for the good list!
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Santos is good when his arm isn't falling off, Cecil is great, Jansen is great, Oliver is decent, Loup is decent, Rogers and Lincoln are misses i guess. Not a bad pen. Im hoping we use Stroman in the pen this year. Get him up and helping the big team. The numbers are actually a little deceptive. In general Loup has been almost below average this year when you take his LOB% into account. Rogers: 66% Loup: 67.5% Cecil 77% Lincoln 78% Those are pretty average. Rogers and Loup have been terrible in key situations.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Can't wait to see (a strike throwing) Luis Perez back in the fold. He'd be so valuable right now as a shut down swing man type of guy. Are there any updates on his status?

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Yanks up 4-3 in the bottom of the 8th....Smoak lined into a double play.......figures. Ackley and Smoak BUSTTTTTTTTTTTTT
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Going on Jays talk to complain about injury assessment
Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Rivera on to close out the M's s*** the bed Rivera! Man, was hoping the Yanks would lose today. Oh well...
digiblader Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Well, Boston, Cleveland and Baltimore lost.. so we gain ground.
digiblader Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Better give Matt Moore some All-Star votes(if pitchers were voted).. he's 7-0!
DH12 Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Snider's cooled off lately and Boni is improving as of late
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Man, was hoping the Yanks would lose today. Oh well... Nope Rivera's still got it
Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Hopefully the Jays bats saved some for tomorrow. A sweep would be pretty huge for this team at this point.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Nope Rivera's still got it lol are you greg?
Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Nope Rivera's still got it Man Rivera is as automatic as they come. At least its going to be his last year for the Yanks. Good for the rest of the division, bad for baseball.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 The Red Sox are in a tailspin right now. Here's hoping it continues.
oakville69 Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I know Snider is a huge bust... But you can't tell me Lincoln is more valuable. The guy is terrible. Snider could've been a solid 4th OFer/LH option off the bench. Agreed. The Jays did not let Snider play a full season in 2011 even after he was healthy & they told him he could stay the entire season. Why was AA so quick to demote Snider, yet Rivera, Patterson, & Fred Lewis got regular playing time.? It's even more unusual because AA's early trades was picking up players who got jerked around by their prior teams. Morrow was a reliever/starter for the Mariners. Lawrie was a misfit for the Brewers etc... Snider would have been great as a 4th OF. Maybe there were clubhouse issues? It's odd because Lincoln was a higher draft pick than Snider yet wouldn't Snider have more value to most teams than another middle reliever???
oakville69 Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Will be interesting to see how Morrow looks tomorrow.Dickey wasn't great but at the end of the day you can't ask for much more. Great night overall. Morrow's start has been delayed again. It's Ortiz taking his spot. Morrow has back issues, I think.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Morrow's start has been delayed again. It's Ortiz taking his spot. Morrow has back issues, I think. Yep. But Wilner says there are no issues with injury reporting or assessment.
