Interesting that JP has gotten to a 3-2 count in 1/7 of his at-bats this year (19 total times I believe). If he walked in half of those, his overall walk rate and obp would actually be pretty good.

 

That's really interesting. That says to me that it's an approach problem rather than a pitch recognition problem. He probably thinks "I'm the catcher so all I need to do is PRODUKSHUN" and thinks walks are for sissys.
