Its the circle-jerk that annoys me the most. How did so many like-minded people find each other? Where's the voice of reason on that forum?

Apparently Gandhi is their voice of reason. He wanted to make a wager with me regarding Rasmus getting an MVP vote.

My favourite was someone referring to hard9 as their forum numbers guy.

f***, was that not a joke? I honestly thought whoever said that was kidding. Ow.

Just finished catching up. My favourite was someone referring to hard9 as their forum numbers guy. I can't read that forum, it just fills me with rage that people can be so ignorant and proud at the same time.

I haven't had this much fun since I got banned from the Angels board.

No, he actually is probably the most statistically knowledgeable poster there. He wouldn't be in the top-50 here lol.

He'd be banned in 10 minutes.

Not sure if I want to keep reading

Keep going lol

Any idea what kind of poster that HOC guy is? He seems to have potential, at least. He's actually called out his own kind a couple of times in that thread for baseless arguments and generally dumb statements.

You nailed it with the BABIP. Rasmus is an OK player but has way too many holes in his swing to be reliable. I'd look to trade him this offseason in a package for a good pitcher. His value is peaking right now in my honest opinion.

This would be reasonable, maybe even ideal if Gose was performing well. As things stand, we have nobody else.

Give Gose a shot next year and then sign Davis as an emergency back up if he can't take a step forward... what sort of player could Rasmus net? Not much to trade down in the minors... but Arencibia has to go too, I think every fan realizes that by now hopefully Anthopoulos does too.

Although do you have a feeling they'll be going after Garza instead of a trade? Wouldn't shock me as AA will be fighting for his job this winter.

Are these guys actually stupid f***s or has the whole board combined together to troll you guys?

They are not the trolls. They are the trollees. You must be unfamiliar with the history between us and these dumb f***s.

Please post this article for them.. http://www.macleans.ca/canada/national/article.jsp?content=20080625_50113_50113&page=1

This is my favourite quote from it... "Believe it or not, we now have more wealth than Americans, even though we work shorter hours. We drink more often, but we live longer and have fewer diseases. We have more sex, more sex partners and we're more adventurous in bed, but we have fewer teen pregnancies and fewer sexually transmitted diseases. We spend more time with family and friends, and more time exploring the world. Even in crime we come out ahead: we're just as prone to break the law, but when we do it, we don't get shot. Most of the time, we don't even go to jail.

The data shows that it's the Canadians who are living it up, while Americans toil away, working longer hours to pay their mounting bills."

Also... "As of 2005, the median family in Canada was worth US$122,600, according to Statistics Canada, while the U.S. Federal Reserve pegged the median American family at US$93,100 in 2004."

What I got from this article was that the US f***ing sucks ass.

Or even just referencing The Economists yearly livability rankings, in which Toronto is 4th in the world and there isnt a US city, let alone OKC, in the top 20

I think I'm going to peace out here. These guys are just too stupid for me to comprehend. People cheering for a team in St. Louis, one of the dirtiest shitholes in the world, laughing at people from a country where the the average person is fitter, happier, wealthier and having more sexy times than someone from 'merkuh. Ignorance is bliss.

Truth is, both countries suck for various reasons. I have employed in the last few years close to 20 people, those are service jobs that pay 1.5 to 2 times what minimum wage is. Anyway, at least half of those people previously declared bankruptcy and pretty much 90% of them will beg me for an advance on their bi weekly salary if it happens to fall on a weekend (which would push their pay day in a day or two).

You add that to the fact that most people in Canada and the US max their credit all the time and you get a huge population of ill advised / uneducated / making all the possible wrong decisions kind of people.

So as much as stats are fun to watch (like in baseball) i wouldn't put too much faith into it.

That may be true but i'm also part of a forum for business owners and what i said seems to be a very strong trend in recent years.
