well you can live with it for now, given the extreme K rate and the home run suppression, just 1 in 230 batters faced. Looking at Aaron Sanchez's season in the MWL when he was 19 the numbers are actually close to identical, similar K to BB ratio, Reid-Foley is walking more and striking out more. And the higher K rate makes me think SRF is less smoke and mirrors than Sanchez was, his offspeed stuff must be working given the crazy high K rate, i don't think he's overwhelming guys with his fastball like Sanchez did at that level.

Right. If you can pick one stat-sheet attribute in a pitcher prospect, and you're not allowed to pick "run prevention" or something cheeky like that, you pick K rate.

If SRF can continue to shave that BB/9 down as the season continues, he could end up with similar numbers to Tyler Glasnow's 19 year old kick at A ball.

Speedy #BlueJays OF prospect Roemon Fields promoted to double-A New Hampshire from single-A Dunedin

Hmmm. Didn't really earn it, but he's probably never going to hit anyway and he's 24. Alford pushed him up, I guess?

Jon Diaz starting CF in Buffalo ATM.

Pompey -> Buffalo

Fields -> NH

Alford -> Dunedin

DJ Davis deserve a promotion too

Pompey with a HR for NH. Nice to see him hitting for power even if the BB/K aren't great. With Pillar playing solid CF there isn't much of a need when Saunders comes back so no need to rush him.

Before he was pulled out for precaution form the pitch to the head, Pompey had a 24 game hit streak in NH dating back to last year. The kid really loves to hit there. I do agree that the Jays can take their time with Pompey but they should also have him back up in Buffalo soon I hope.

So another solid AA draftee is making his debut this Saturday? Looking forward to watching Boyd (hoping it goes better than Nolin's debut, lol).

Hey Ang or anyone else. What can you tell me about Jairo Rosario? He seems to be having a great DSL. But also might be a little old for the league.

Good debut for Josh DeGraaf!

Puerto Rican 5th round pick Jose Espada made his GCL debut today; a clean 2 innings with 0 hits, 0 walks, and 3 strikeouts. He was relieved by Juan Meza, our top IFA signee from last year's class. Meza currently has 1 inning pitched with 0 hits, 1 walk, and 2 strikeouts.

Good night all around for the organization. Really anxious to see what Alford and Tellez do in Dunedin...good start.
