Hes pretty much an average/fringey pitcher right now, with a track record of success in the majors(given that he is pretty much average).

But I still think that's currently better than Boyd who is a command/control pitcher with iffy stuff, who has gotten destroyed most of the time above A ball.

Earlier in this thread you preached sample size regarding Hoffman, yet you're ripping Boyd for 40 innings in AA, and on top of that 40 innings where he had a K/9 over 9, BB/9 of less than 3 and got BABIP'd .380? Yikes.

 

He was also great in High A.

Hendriks and Boyd are essentially the same type of pitcher, except one throws RH, and other is LH. One has much larger track record of success than the other. They are both pitchers with fringy stuff who are command/control pitchers. Yet hendriks is throwing harder this year(albeit as a reliever).

 

But since Boyd is homegrown talent, he obviously is a better prospect/pitcher to delusional Jays fans, lolz

Starter with 50 IP of dominating pitching at AA > Swingman with 65 terrible AAA innings and 97 replacement MLB innings.

 

He doensn't have 50 IP of dominating at AA,(his perhiperals are nice and his stuff).

It's nice that he can throw strikes and strike out minor leaguers. But when your average fastball is 90, he probably won't succeed as a starter right now.
