Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 The 3 walks aren't that concerning considering he was around the plate and just missed. He threw around 3-4 pitches that were erratic.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 the homerun he gave up was on a 3-2 challenge fastball
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Dwight Smith Jr is having some damn good at bats. Went against the shift for his second hit
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Dwight with a cheapie double lol
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Miguel Castro is legit. Chubby Tellez is good.
43211234 Verified Member Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 With his arm angle you'd expect Castro to be tough on righties and if his changeup is truly a plus pitch and if he can get that slider developed he'll have some great weapons against lefties too. Top 100 prospect this offseason?

Top 100 prospect this offseason? He deserves it

P2F Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 That was laughable. Totally. Completely indefensible.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 What I don't get is why Baretto wasn't promoted.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 What I don't get is why Baretto wasn't promoted. Most likely with trying to get Vancouver the championship again and Lansing not being in the playoff race.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 I'm kind of worried that the organization is irrationally high on him, and we could have another Sierra/Thames/Goins etc. situation on our hands. If fans have to watch him play defense even once the Rogers Center will be burned down
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Does AA think that lack of discipline is some kind of tool? It's a market inefficiency
43211234 Verified Member Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Labourt with another great outing. Over his last 4 outings he's given up 2 runs in 22.2 IP, with 28 strikeouts against 4 walks.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 That's struggling, lol. I had it wrong, apparently it was 63
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 68 isn't struggling anyway lol, 13.5 pitches per inning gets you through 7 on 95 pitches. I'd say that's pretty good

Rock Shoulders, Will Startup and Houston Summers are my favourites amongst the previous winners.

43211234 Verified Member Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Daniel Norris gave up 5 hits, including 3 doubles in the second inning to allow three runs. He's got 2 Ks and 0 BBs through 2. Pompey bunted for a single in the bottom of the first and buffalo scored 3 runs that inning. Edit: And Pompey picks up his second single in the bottom of the 2nd.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Norris is done and got rocked.. 4IP, 8 hits, 6ER, 3BB, 3K 1HR
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Predictions at who we will send to the AFL? 1. Roberto Osuna Statline looks pretty good tonight too. 6 SO 0BB in 4 innings so far
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Cardona could be sent. Berti, DSJ and Pompey
spats Verified Member Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Was at the Bisons game last night and aside from the fact that Norris got rocked, Anthony Gose had an interesting game in right field. He throws one runner out at the plate, throws another out at second after a single with a laser and could have had a third ala Bautista on a sharp single if Wallace had been on the bag at first. Then he gets picked of first with the Bisons down 3 runs. If this guy could ever get his head in the game. With that arm, I would turn him back into a pitcher. On another note, I talked to AA the last time Norris pitched and since I had my AFL hat on he divulged that Nolin,Pompey and possibly Ozuna will be in Arizona...anxious to see Osuna.
