theblujay Verified Member Posted May 19, 2013 Author Posted May 19, 2013 I'm really excited for the end of June when the SS teams start. Also maybe our guys playing well now will be promoted by then.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 It wouldn't make sense to piggyback Stroman, he's had a history of larger workload during college, and he's already been going through extended Spring Training.

I doubt they'd piggyback, they've only ever done that in the low minors. This is what I'm hoping for, like I said before, it's not like Stroman's been injured and Walden's a prospect. I'm sure you're right.
theblujay Verified Member Posted May 19, 2013 Author Posted May 19, 2013 So we are really trying to make Stroman a starter? I like it!
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 It's been updated, it now shows Stroman starting for NH.
theblujay Verified Member Posted May 19, 2013 Author Posted May 19, 2013 Nice! Really excited for him. Is there any chance he sticks as a starter?
Caper Verified Member Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Any where to listen to fishercats game?
theblujay Verified Member Posted May 19, 2013 Author Posted May 19, 2013 Stroman looking good through 2. Pillar 0-2
Caper Verified Member Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Doesn't seem like anyone has hit Stroman hard today.
Caper Verified Member Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Stilson just made his AAA debut GO, BB, (deep) FO, and a SO of Gordon Beckham to end the inning Wow... A David Purcey sighting.
Caper Verified Member Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Thole just threw out a baserunner going to 2nd.... I can't remember the last time JPA threw someone out.
StevieRay Verified Member Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Dont think this is posted but according to some no name on twitter: After Daniel Norris walked the leadoff hitter, he picked him off and struck out the next 4 batters, hitting 97-98 on the gun. #Lugnuts desperately trying to not put the bust label on him. BTW, is there a reason why aaron sanchez is removed in 3rd inning?
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Stroman's final line: 5IP, 4H, 1BB, 6K, 3GO/4FO, 89 pitches. Pretty good debut I'd say.

Last year he was giving up 5 or 6 runs a game and the evaluators were still giving good reports.... not just jays scouts either. I couldn't understand it.... but I guess I'll take their word. I've heard lefties take longer to develop.

He played in Blue Field and Vancouver last year and got promoted to Lansing this year whereas the big 3 last year stayed in Lansing all season. Let's hope he continues to improve.
theblujay Verified Member Posted May 19, 2013 Author Posted May 19, 2013 Great day for Stroman! Also I guess Norris had a good day. Maybe he isn't a bust after all...

KSaw Verified Member Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Wow... A David Purcey sighting. The Bisons beat up on Zach Stewart before getting around to making Purcey look bad.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Nice @ShiDavidi: For all asking, Marcus Stroman throws five shutout innings, four hits, a walk, six Ks in New Hampshire's 7-4 win over New Britain.

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Stroman is a BEAST what are the odds of him being in TO being the all star game?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 what are the odds of him being in TO being the all star game? I'd put it at 40%
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 I'd put it at 40% with JJ and Happ gone, I could see it happening. it's gonna throw gas on a huge ego though.
