Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 You definitely did the right thing Min. You went from no talent to a viable stock. In past seasons I've tried to pick top 100 guys and then trade everyone in the following offseason to make room for new draftees, but this year I really just sat on some guys and may take them and some new draftees to maturity. Declining prospect trade values had something to do with it; you can't really flip non-impact guys for decent major league chips right now. Right now is the absolute worst time to try to trade prospects; everyone's farm is full.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 I would give up all my earthly possessions if it meant that Dinger would STFU about Seager.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 It's hard to imagine you could have a UCL tear and still be throwing 100 MPH.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 another PH HR from Contreras, might just be valuable enough as a part time catcher lol
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 another PH HR from Contreras, might just be valuable enough as a part time catcher lol Miguel Montero left with an injury, so that should open up a path to playing time anyway.
TRM Verified Member Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Steamer has been remarkably accurate with these four pitchers. Their October pitching projections take too much heat ITT. Well executed "I told you so". Bravo.
torontofan Verified Member Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Right now is the absolute worst time to try to trade prospects; everyone's farm is full. Ya, but now we can go over the 12 limit prospect cap...right?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Ya, but now we can go over the 12 limit prospect cap...right? I thought that was only in the offseason, but maybe I'm wrong.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 I'd really appreciate if your team would keep hitting like Ryan Goins through the end of the week.
TRM Verified Member Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 With the impending return of Alex Gordon, surprisingly useful Joe Mauer OTB. looking for a starter and/or a SP eligible holdz guy. Moreland is available also if that tickles anyones fancy.

z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 just moved over the remaining prospects from the draft sheet to the asset sheet. Please check you prospects to make sure everything is reflected accurately.

BTS Community Moderator Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 So it looks like Tim Anderson can handle short at a high enough level that he should stay there long-term, and he hits the ball a fair bit harder than the Alcides Escobars and Elvis Andruses of the world. It would be nice if he could walk once in a blue moon though.

His contact rate is quite a bit below league average, so I'd be worried that he's going to get exposed pretty badly once the league gets more looks at him. I agree he's better than Alcides for fantasy purposes, although that really isn't saying much considering Alcides is currently the #1 ranked hitter in TAC by a whopping 40 points.

I've never really loved his profile. I do imagine the K-rate settles somewhere in the 20-25% range. Really, I've been encouraged about his ability to defend at short. There's a path to him being pretty useful if he sticks at the position, much less so if he moves to CF.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Yeah, the bar for being useful at SS in fantasy is pretty easy to clear if he can stick. He could have some 40 SB seasons, and SB are pretty rare these days.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 I'm looking to trade Darren O'Day or Tony Watson for an OF option better than Ben Revere.
