I think this is probably right but I don't feel great about skipping directly to my pick when nobody ever emailed or notified gibbers / jaysblue. He is up again right after me anyway.

To be fair if you can't make your pick within 12 hours you deserve to miss it. It takes like 10 seconds to bring the site up and type in your pick, or if you know you are going to be busy leave a list with someone.
