Cat's Ass stole Lee IMO. Wish I'd known he was available. :(

He'll fit in very nicely with the WAR Puigs. I now feel good with my rotation going into the season.

The #4 pick will turn into a very nice prospect... it's the centrepiece, not Urias. Elite picks are a little underrated right now IMO. It's as if people would rather prospects since they're easier to justify to a fan base lol. This trade is within what the market has dictated this offseason.

I'll have Darvish, Lee, Teheran, Buchholz as my top 4. Lee goes good with the stats we play with.

That's very good. With you going for it, the Turkey Bacon Club Division should be real interesting in 2014.

Exactly. That's the underated piece. Should turn into a great player as long as he picks right. Might just have to wait a few years for him to develop.

I like Urias a lot from an economic perspective. If he doesn't regress, he will take big leaps in turns of market value with every step. I also think the pick will go up in value as we get closer to the draft. There's a lot more speculative value than right now value in my end of the the trade which is why I'm probably the only one who makes this deal but when I make these kind of deals, I'm looking for the potential for a big win and I don't hedge with pieces that I think will be merely serviceable.

I probably should go into full rebuild now that I've cashed in both Fielder and Lee. Lee in particular hurts because my pitching is nothing without him. I'm going to have no problem with the roster cut so I'll keep all my stars for now but after the cutoff, I'll definitely be listening on Ellsbury and Zimmerman and maybe others. I had a good run last year but the strength of the top teams in this league is such that there's incentive for me to invest in the future.

I'd take Sanchez over Urias. FWIW, I just offered Sanchez + Yordano for Lee in my other league and got shot down.

There was just no way I wouldn't flip Sanchez. Prospects who aren't really showing it on the field really scrare me. I feel like the clock is ticking on him to really show what he can do. That doesn't mean he won't though. Spanky may have picked the perfect time to get him and his greater proximity to the majors is a plus. I have no problem with the trade from his perspective but I don't really way proximity to the majors as much as some do. Urias could be very close to a big gain in value, Sanchez could be close to a big downturn in value in which case proximity to the majors would be moot. I just look at how much I like the prospects as assetts. I don't worry about where and when they fit on my Major League roster.

I think if Sanchez shows well at AA he's a Top 10 prospect.

He's not a bad prospect by any stretch but I really think Urias is much better.

It's a pretty fair trade all around. Cliff Lee will be great, but he's entering his age 36 season. How many productive years does he have ahead of him? I say 1-2 more years, which is about equal to the value Cats gave up. I still like Cats end the best because I almost always favor the proven talent in these kinds of deals. This one is very close on all side though. The only clear winner for me is Spanky since I believe Sanchez > Urias in value.

Sanchez > Urias in value.

Obviously I'm arguing for my own side here but I wonder if there isn't a bit of Jays bias in this. Urias may be four years younger than Sanchez but he's only half a level behind and his numbers wipe the floor with Sanchez. The only way Sanchez is better IMO is if you penalize Urias for his youth but when you look at them from the perpective of their respective developments, the gap is much smaller than the age would suggest and when you factor age respective to performance and level, Urias's age makes him much better than Sanchez not worse.

This is what eventually made me change my stance on trading Lee. I kept thinking if there's anyone I should be cashing in on now, he's probably it. Who knows how many more opportunities to do so there will be. My plan all along was to go all in the first year and if that didn't work out, I could always get younger by cashing in some chips. I always preffered that approach to going young in year one. I had a good run in 2013 but the league looks really top heavy in 2014 so it's probably for the best that I diversified my portfolio and invested in some future so to speak. I'm not goingfull tank. I'll see if I can hang around. If I do, I'll convert some prospects/picks back into roster pieces and if I don't, I'll go full rebuild. Then again, if I can get my hands on the prospects I covet, I might just go sell crazy. Momentum is certainly building that way.

Hey, I am looking to move up in the MILB or MLB draft or mid round pick upgrades. If anyone is interested. Cheers!

I can give you a bunch of picks if you give me your two best prospects.
