Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 I have no opinion one way or the other, min.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Anyone want to trade me a Paxton-esque SP (or better!) for Romo? His numbers this year are bananas.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Joe Kelly? He's been pretty good recently. I hate you so much.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 So cliffnotes: Good trade, Min. Way to go, Min. If I can't win the league this year, I want you to win, Min. Okay now not only do I not want you to win, but I want one of your stars to get injured so there's added anxiety in the offseason.

I hope Paxton finally stays healthy. Don't expect him to be an ace, just a contributor. Hopefully k-Rod helps Min out this year (and maybe next). I'd say it was a good return on the MiLB pick #71 I traded for K-rod in the first place.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Aren't there a bunch of Paxton types in FA? Paxton is junk.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 There are surprisingly few 26 year old 3.05/3.64/3.75 SPs floating around our FA pool.

z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 I'm interested in crowd sourcing a bit here. I discussed various deals with Trea and Kang and at the end I'm left with Kang still on my roster. What is the opinion of value for these two? I liked Turner enough since he was drafted that I doubled down on him in #LOD (a fact I'm happy about). But Kang has been a pretty solid hitter himself with a nice combination of pop and speed. Thoughts?
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 I bet Paxton will be next year's Clay Buchholz. (Says the guy who totally lifted his nose at Buchholz when he really had no business lifting his nose at any decent roster player).

Thoughts? Keep both. Could be a year or two until Trea Turner hits the majors and is productive. When and if that happens, then you have a nice problem on your hands.

I do however still have Kang and Add Russell, so I don't expect anyone to feel bad for my MIF. Was more just interested in how people value the two of them.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 TCA, a big week from you here could potentially help knock North out of the playoffs (assuming a loss to NJH next week).
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 TCA, a big week from you here could potentially help knock North out of the playoffs (assuming a loss to NJH next week). How can I knock them both out?
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 OMG please win big this week catsass
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 How can I knock them both out? NJH has pretty much clinched, but if you give North a drubbing, BTS could sneak past (or possibly ISOH or Speedy). PS Rendon SUXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 OMG please win big this week catsass You're in tough, pal. Not only do you need a huge win against Silvio's juggernaut offense, but even if you sneak into the playoffs you have LS (probably) in the 1st round.
