Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Me too. Would be sooooo good. I have no shares, so naturally I'm all for this.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 I cashed in Cingrani at the right time in FC, traded him last offseason for Kuma.
TRM Verified Member Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Who's willing to pitch on a Voodoo doll for Carrasco? Wouldn't be too hard to pull off, all it would take is breaking into North's house. You know he's got some game worn attire of Carrasco's that has illicit uses, but would have some Carrasco hair on it.

Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 What is with the Reds wanting everyone to be a god damn reliever. I though Cingrani could offer a little bit of value from a pitching perspective now he is damn near useless. FACK

I though Cingrani could offer a little bit of value from a pitching perspective now he is damn near useless. FACK He'll probably be a top end holds guy with SP eligibility this year (think Wade Davis last year). It sucks compared to the value he could have as a starter, but I wouldn't say he's useless. Over 44.2 innings in the majors, he's held lefties to a .191/.274/.286 line with 54 k's in 44.2 innings (and most of that as a starter, in relief he'll probably average 95 mph instead of topping out there and the numbers will be even better). He still has swing and miss stuff vs righties too (just gives up too many gopher balls).
TRM Verified Member Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 So by mistake it seems I've ended up with 5 April clozerz, and only 1/2 April Holds guys. If anyone is looking to add savez, let me know. Looking to snag some good ratio holds, or help in the rotation. Willing to talk on anything. Clozerz: Kimbrel (not likely moving) Nathan Gregerson Peralta Clippard Holdz: Motte Maurer
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Chris Hatcher is a better bet to get saves than Joel Peralta.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 16, 2015 Author Posted March 16, 2015 Is Joe Nathan still penciled in as their closer? That's hilarious.
TRM Verified Member Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Is Joe Nathan still penciled in as their closer? That's hilarious. This is unfortunately the truth, yes. Chris Hatcher is a better bet to get saves than Joel Peralta. Arguable, and honestly I wouldn't mind that to be true.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 looking to wreck some people in a re-draft league I'm in. 7x7 (pretty standard). Anyone got any sleeper picks they want to send my way?
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 looking to wreck some people in a re-draft league I'm in. 7x7 (pretty standard). Anyone got any sleeper picks they want to send my way? How many teams?
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 12 teams I hear that Alex Cobb kid is pretty good.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 17, 2015 Author Posted March 17, 2015 Really, just look at anyone with an o-rank over ~275 that is owned in the DDL. Punt catcher and draft someone like Jaso in the last round. Definitely take Harper in the 2nd or 3rd round if possible. Invest in bats almost exclusively until like, round 8/9. You could still get a near Ace like Carrasco as your first SP. Late pitchers: Miami Dan Haren Peavy Danny Salazar Jesse Hahn Hutch Kyle Hendricks Shane Greene Joakim Soria (end of draft) Ken Giles (end of draft)
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 17, 2015 Author Posted March 17, 2015 If you want value pick "sleepers", look at my entire roster... Votto Zobrist Pearce Davis Souza Jaso Wright Castillo Walker Burnett Salazar Hammel HNNNNNGGGGGGGHH the redraft pick value is so strong
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 got many of the names on my short list... wanted to ensure I didn't miss anyone. A few of the crazier values (according to Steamers) are Walker and Pearce. Here's hoping the other players don't have a similar idea (but I doubt it ). Wow, you're right NJH, lots of sleepers with the above mentioned and Votto, Zobrist, Salazar, Jaso all great values.

Wow, you're right NJH, lots of sleepers with the above mentioned and Votto, Zobrist, Salazar, Jaso all great values. Most of the value picks are arms. Ryu, Fiers, Lackey, Kazmir, Carrasco, and even Yusmeiro Petit in 90 innings is projected to outdo quite a few starters.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Brandon McCarthy is really good and you can probably get him for cheap. John Lackey too.
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 All this talk makes me want to do a redraft, but I know I'll get bored by week 3.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 17, 2015 Author Posted March 17, 2015 All this talk makes me want to do a redraft. Maybe we should reboot the Premier League after all?
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Brandon McCarthy is really good and you can probably get him for cheap. John Lackey too. I meant to write McCarthy too, oops.

BTS Community Moderator Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Anyone else cringe when they see the red update indicator beside a pitcher on their yahoo team page?
TRM Verified Member Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 y?? He doesn't have to explain himself for this.
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 He doesn't have to explain himself for this. I guess in this particular instance it's because my team is in perfect health while his has been decimated.
TRM Verified Member Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 I guess in this particular instance it's because my team is in perfect health while his has been decimated. You definitely just jinxed it.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Anyone else cringe when they see the red update indicator beside a pitcher on their yahoo team page? My only one of the day was good news... Chad Qualls still has a perfect ERA this spring after pitching a scoreless inning Monday against the Braves. Advice: Qualls has allowed one hit and an unearned run through four innings. The Astros have yet to name a closer, and it's possible Qualls will get the job,
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
