Thanks guys!!

 

It was especially cool to see my flag-plant players (Price, Kemp, Rizzo) come up big on the deciding day of the season. David Price was a glorified #3 starter who couldn't strike anyone out, Matt Kemp was finished and a huge injury risk, Anthony Rizzo was just a bunch of 0-fer-4s. They're none of that and now they're DDL champs. So gratifying.

 

Congrats on the great season, FTD. Your pitching gave me all I could handle and your offense just had a bad week.

You made out very well on the Price trade. I ended up trading Freeman + a 1st (Archer) for Bautista and some assorted uesless picks and prospects. Not my greatest work. Bigger picture tho,I traded Buxton + a 1st for Sale + Bautista, which I can live with.

Meh, I like my roster that ended this season in 7th place better than yours moving forward. At the end of the day, not much of a difference between finishing 5th or 7th.

4th place. At least I improved on my 5th place finish last year. f***, it's going to be such a long road back to the playoffs.

NJH had the right philosophy.

 

I don't think think so. I would have much preferred finish 2nd or 3rd than 4th. I want to place as high as possible in a given season, even if I don't win.

I just wanted to make the playoffs this season, since anything could happen in a one week matchup. Didn't expect to go far though I'd rather have a chance than sit outside the Top 8. After getting knocked out in the first round, I couldn't care what I did in the consolation rounds (whether I finished 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th). Doesn't matter because the goal at the end of the day is to win a championship. I like my team moving forward and my goal this offseason is to take my team to the next level.
