Hey guys, Oso Blanco just hit the DL and I could use a stopgap catcher. Anybody selling? Shoot me a PM or Yahoo msg.

FFS why does he have to be on Atlanta. I can't really fault them for not playing him every day as they're loaded at all 3 OF spots and C, but damn. If he was on a different team playing 85-90% of games between C/OF/DH he would be such a fantasy steal.

I'd be more annoyed if I owned him in a redraft league like PL. As a dynasty owner, I can't wait til he gets traded to Texas and becomes a rich man's Mike Napoli. He is going to be a Top 5 catcher next year and push 30 HR IMO.

When are 2014 picks generated and available to be traded?

Immediately after the playoffs end

OK. And a handshake agreement to include a pick in a deal before they are generated would be OK, just unenforced by the powers that be, right?

I believe Spanky's window just expired and BTS made his pick. Someone go throw some water on Spanky.

My team is dropping like flys, 2 more have just been added to the DL today. I now have a total of 8 players on the DL. They must be using the Bluejay's trainers...

This draft has really opened my eyes on how bad some team's farm systems are. I was able to take 2 arguably top 4 Brewers prospects in the 10th and 11th round of our draft..and it doesnt include all the ineligible prospects for our sake.

I don't want to make a whole new thread for this, so I'm hoping I can get feedback here.

I'm commish in a league I run with my friends. There's one team who has two elite catchers (Mauer/Posey) and he really wanted Brandon Phillips so he sent me an offer of Buster Posey + Ian Kinsler for Brandon Phillips + Starling Marte. I accepted as I personally think Kinsler = Phillips in value (more or less) and IMO Posey will definitely surpass Marte in value.

My question is, should this trade stand? I don't want to be biased and to me it seems like I'm getting a steal of a deal. He does have two catchers and need speed, but I just don't want to be unfair as a commish. Should it be vetoed?

No deal should be veoted unless its obvious there's cheating involved or someone is just being a tool. But that's a lopsided trade, he should have shopped around more clearly

Agreed. That guys an idiot, but it has to be pretty black and white cheating or WAAAAY more lopsided than that before the veto gets thrown around.

I would love to have Lynn, I just don't want to part with an Allen Craig type bat to get him. Arms are combustible, thats not really a secret.

Something about Lynn just seems extra combustible too. I'm not sure exactly what it is... body, stuff, mechanics, statistical profile... Kind of hard to put a finger on, but I definitely wouldn't want to trade a position player under 28 of equal talent for Lance.

It's also not impossible to see him getting bumped to the pen at some point, even if he's pitching well. All it takes is one or two bad months of batted ball luck, and then he could be looking up at five names on the Cards' stacked depth chart. He's always kind of "looked" like a reliever in a lame scouty way, anyways.

Even with that considered the offers have been atrocious. I have one legit fair offer, but the player isn't a good fit. Several teams have offered players who are tangibly worse than Lynn, on par but 6+ years older, or an awful combination of both. I'm gonna take my Lynn and go home.

Also, the fact that you've thrown his name out there repeatedly can't inspire buyer confidence. It comes off as you not fully buying into his production.

He doesn't have a sexy pedigree, so he'll have to prove it for awhile before the fantasy community is willing to buy him as a bonafide SP2.
