No longer looking to trade up with Manzardo gone

 

Honestly I considered Endy Rodriguez at 2, so I was a little despaired seeing him almost land to me at 10 only to get sniped one pick prior. Catching prospect and all what a season he just had.

We had this date scheduled for weeks. Not that hard to set auto-draft on or leave one pick with someone if you have something going on.

 

I can't unilaterally force the draft to pause for Eze's benefit.

 

That being said, if anyone on the clock wants to be a "good samaritan" and intentionally let a few hours tick by so he gets more grace, I am not socially opposed to that.

 

jaysblue is up at 1-15 anyway so Eze probably has until 5 PM today to still get a top 15 prospect.

I was just hoping one of him and Manzardo would drop to 9. But I didn't think either would, so I was ready to trade back.

 

A bit disappointed I missed Manzardo in all three leagues. That's a rock solid offensive profile, and he'll be ready soon.

It takes less then a minute to log in and make a pick on a phone. It's easy to check in on the draft while taking a s***.

 

Yeah. People are acting like it's 1999 and we're doing this via desktop computer. Unless you're camping with no cell reception or in the hospital or something, literally nobody is so busy that they don't have a single minute over a 12-hour stretch to check in on the draft.

It's a little more time consuming doing it the LOD/Old way. You have to log into the board, see where it's at in the draft, sometimes look at a spreadsheet, confirm on fantrax your player is available. The draft room has everything right there in one spot, a one stop shop.

Stil no EZe. This reminds of the time Spanky disappeared mid-draft and it turned out he had taken a beer stein to the head in a bar fight.

You can't make your pick and then say "we should pause" for EzE. If you had a heart you would have waited your 12 hour window. If we are pausing he should have a shot at everyone picked since Senga.

 

JC had 2 picks. He could have stalled a total of 24 hours if he really wanted to.

Appreciate the discussion everyone. Sometimes there’s a price to having fun, I’ll pay the bill. With the draft moving forward I’ll have to figure out my new pick. I’ll do that once I check in at the crazy Phoenix airport later this afternoon.

 

Did you volunteer or attend as a fan? I know in the past they have had a volunteer concert for all the WM volunteers and staff right after the Superbowl.

Honestly, still a few names left that are basically the same as many of the players taken so far so maybe you'll end up losing nothing.

Havent used it yet, but did everyone click on auto-draft icon and toggle "Auto-draft from queue only" and select 1 as the number to be auto-drafted?

 

Works fine for me, in every draft so far.

Ah I see this was directed at me. For the record, its the commish's decision on what to do. If the commish decides the draft is to continue, it would be inappropriate for me to then hold things up for 12 hrs or whatever.

 

I would have been fine with rewinding the draft, erasing my pick, and pausing until Eze had a chance to pick. Again, not my call.
