Holy f*** is the Fantrax app ever ugly and clunky. I love looking at not one but two ads at a time, and the laughably useless player “score.”

Yeah, the app is terrible, but it is functional. I'd just use it in an emergency, and use a tablet or desktop for everything else with Fantrax.

Some of the positions seem screwy. For example, Brian Anderson played in 55 games in RF this year but doesn't have OF eligibility for 2020.

Some important notes and rules:

 

1. Add your players. You can add anyone you own in Yahoo. Add your spreadsheet prospects to your MiLB roster.

 

2. You can trade now if you want but keep track of it yourselves if there are picks involved. We need to transfer the MiLB picks to Fantrax.

 

3. The 2020 waiver draft will be as normal. The spreadsheet will be used for those picks. We might change the waiver draft format for 2021.

 

4. No adds during the offseason. Same as always.

 

5. We will use same day add/drops.

 

6. You can use the Fantrax polling system if you want to table a vote. Wait a bit for everyone to get in there.

 

7. We are a free league for now. If we want to switch to paid for some reason, we will figure out the money. Boxy offered to front it and people can pay him back.

 

8. The NA slot in Yahoo is becoming a 13th slot on the MiLB roster during the season. Tweaks might be needed here to make it easy to see / enforce. But see the new "Constitution" or rules as written in Fantrax about this.

 

9. In the spring we cut to 20 MLB and 12 MiLB players as usual.

 

10. Draft order is now the 5 pick lottery with the rest being determined by regular season standings, with the exception that the league playoff champion picks 20th (last).

 

11. If anybody is not listed with commissioner access in Fantrax and would like it given to them, just ask and it's yours.

 

12. If anyone wants to take over as the primary commissioner please let me know. I would prefer to let someone else be the big cheese going forward if possible.

 

13. Make a political post in the league - Jail.

 

14. Threaten to quit the league - Jail.

 

15. Complain about the app - Jail.

 

16. Complain about Fantrax at all - Jail.

 

17. We need another owner.

 

18. Position eligibility rules are slightly more strict than Yahoo. If you have a specific player who would qualify for a position in Yahoo but doesn't in Fantrax, for 2020 only, we will manually fix it. Let us know in March.

Good luck finding someone willing to take over your commish duties. I've been trying to step down in BORED for like 2 years. Commishing a league full of *******s is a thankless job that nobody wants to do.

Yes Boxy, we will make changes to the handling of minor league players as needed. I did change the written rules a bit when moving them over to Fantrax - did a quick re-write so most of it makes sense in the new environment.

Damn. I just realized that duplicate players (paid function) isn’t a solution:

 

“Hi Chris, no sorry but there must either be 1 of every player, or duplicates of every player.

 

Ohtani by default is 1 player. He's treated the same way as any other player with dual eligibility.”

Robles might be a bit of a s***** slap hitter but YEXIT was my doing so I'm willing to eat a bit of value and lose the opportunity to own dual-threat Fantrax Ohtani. At least the pick is sufficiently high (just outside the lottery) and there is at least a decent chance I can find an Eloy/Hiura type talent in the 2020 MiLB draft.

 

Hopefully the Ohtani owners in BORED can come to a similar, quick resolution. Praying for you guys.

Yes. it is not possible to treat Ohtani as two assets in Fantrax unless every player in the database is also duplicated.

Is anyone else unable to add players right now? I want to add my minor league players but when I click the 'Players' tab and search for my guy, there is no add button. Only 'Add to watch list' and 'Add to compare list'.
