f***ing pardon me, but I have not initiated jack s*** with this guy. As far as I'm concerned, there is no feud. Why am I implicated here? I haven't done anything wrong.

Just because some guy decides to ingest a bag of salt and go on needless tirades doesnt mean I did anything to cause them. I know SG is a good player but I didn't ask anyone to ban him (I would have just left whatever he said in the thread without deleting it because I don't care if someone wants to say something negative). I'm not the one that decided to be a little petty bitch, I'm not the one trying to turn the league against someone in order to avoid personal responsibility.

Leave me out of this. If this dipshit wants to try to blame me for all his problems when I literally have not interacted with him in MONTHS I fail to see how any of that is my fault. If he decides to untuck his dick, then please don't delete any more of his posts that are "critical" of the podcast because I don't care and none of the other hosts care.

No one is saying it's your fault silvergun is leaving. That being said, we want silvergun to stay so we're telling him it's a stupid reason to quit the league (since the two have nothing to do with each other).

I'd do the same thing? Wanna provide evidence, you little puke?

On top of that, the lastest line I apparently crossed was in a post you admitted to agree with completely. Just stfu Connor.

1) you calling me little puke is rich

2) I don’t need to provide evidence that you’re a douchebag, just take my word

3) I agreed with what you said in response to something someone wrote. If someone came on here and uploaded a song they just wrote, I’d think it was pretty lame if someone ripped it apart for the sole reason of being a douche, which is why I agree with BTS

As the elder statesmen in the DDL I feel I can speak for everyone when I say Connor get the f*** out of our thread!

Playoff teams looks pretty set, but according to Yahoo there are surprisingly few teams that have clinched. Its not likely, but there is at least a chance of some last week heroics

I'm going to state for the record that I hope Silvergun will stay on board and continue to manage his excellent team.

However, that said, if his resignation is final, I would like to make a more radical proposal due to the exceptionally strong roster he has compiled (rather than transferring his team to a new owner). My proposal is a one-time dispersal draft, which would include all of SG's MLB and MiLB assets, as well as the assets of any other owners who are resigning at season's end, and the assets of any owners who wish to opt-in. That is to say, any owner who feels they could benefit from redrafting among the combined assets could choose to join; anyone who prefers to keep their current roster would decline to participate.

Pros

- We don't hand over the league's superpower roster to a new owner who has done nothing to earn it

- Much better for league parity (we balance SG's assets with those of the weaker teams)

- Owners who recently inherited bad teams, or who have backed themselves into a corner, will get an opportunity to hit reset and put their stamp on the team

- We add some much needed intrigue during a lull in the league's prestigious history

- All dispersal picks would be fully tradeable, so even if you don't opt in, you could have skin in the game

Cons

- We've never done it before

- None really

Now, having said all that, I personally would not choose to opt in, but I do think it would be the healthiest way forward for the league and much more interesting than just handing Silvergun's roster over to Adam Greenwood or whatever.

I feel like that's a good idea. I would imagine that a lot of owners would choose to participate though just to shake things up, even if it won't obviously improve their roster. So it might be too big.

I was however thinking about how to dilute his roster in a fair way. Maybe some type of protection - dispersal draft system with the bottom teams (much smaller than your idea though).

This is an interesting idea. I have no idea if anyone else is planning on leaving, but a dispersal draft would be attractive to potential new owners.

We did a 4-team dispersal in LoD in the offseason, and it worked really, really well.

I actually don't think many owners would participate, maybe 4 or 5 at the most. I could be wrong.

Straw poll - who would opt into a dispersal draft?

The teams would be Silvergun's roster + every other team opting in.

Undecided for me, but probably not.

This would benefit me more personally but I don't think it would be fair to middle of the pack teams.

I guess it depends heavily on how many of the bottom tier teams do it. It’s inevitable that a couple will, but then the dispersal becomes much less attractive to anybody else who might want in.

I'd imagine a lot of the lower teams would opt in. Or teams built around old guys. I'd probably pass on the draft.

I would want to participate in this dispersal draft. I've tried my best to acquire cheap talent and have had some luck with breakout players (Aguilar, Jed Lowrie) but I was kind of left a mess to work with that won't be easy to climb out of. I'm fine with keeping my team as is and keep rebuilding, but if given the option I would prefer to try to build a better team the way I would have intended from the start.

This is exactly the kind of team I had in mind. Plus there’s a good chance you’ll be able to redraft at least a few of the pieces you’ve become invested in.

Yeah, my problem is more that I feel I'd be giving up the best hitter in the draft (and with age factored in maybe the best pitcher too, given all the teams probably have work to do before they compete). I suspect I'd be better off on my current path.

Lets just get SG back and avoid this mess.

I'd like my chances of winning a title better if his team was broken up, but its really an embarrassment to lose our top team.

COME BACK SG!

I'm generally opposed.

seems gimmicky

pure ratings grab. Probably for his podcast.

For the record I would not participate. It would kill me to lose Syndergaard for when he actually pitches a whole season.

This is why I think most teams, even mediocre ones, won't participate. I'm too invested in Vlad to potentially lose him.

I really should. My team isn't good enough, nor young enough...but it's still my team (did I just call myself neither young enough nor good enough?...probably accurate). I understand why one of the non originals would do it though.

I'd consider it but truly enjoy rebuilding from the bottom up, so would heavily lean 'no' right now.

Assuming I miss the playoffs this week, I'd probably opt in because all my players are useless anyway.

You guys can all stop blowing your dispersal loads. I reached out to SG by email and it sounds like he is going to reconsider.

I assume he'll pop in an confirm/deny himself, although it does sound like he's all kind of done with the board for the most part (which is a damn shame).

I messaged him too. He has thankfully committed to piloting through the playoffs and then re-evaluating

I'd prefer he stayed but the way you guys are sucking his dick after he acted like a total little bitch, with no sort of instigation whatsoever, is pretty pathetic tbh.

I have to kind of agree with Boxy here. Who gets so upset from being banned from a message board? If everyone was like that Spanky would have quit the league triple-digit times so far.
