Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 Are we talking dynasty or real life though? Why not both... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 Maybe it's a case of loving what you have, but I wouldn't trade Corey Seager for Correa, and I'd trade Seager for Bryant without hesitation.

Well that's because Seager is better than Correa so there's actually an argument to be made there. Don't think I'd take Seager over Bryant in fantasy, mayyybe irl but I'd have to be persuaded. Come at me haters.

I'd take Bryant IRL, only because I'm not convinced that Seager's D will rate as well going forward. He's more likely to move to 3B than Correa IMO, but I don't see either one moving in the next 3 years.

I think Correa is already bulkier than Seager, and the former's defense already rates as below average for the position. While both will probably end up moving, I think Correa is the one who'll force the transition sooner lest they allow him to stay at short and hurt the defense while providing excellent offensive contribution. Definitely Bryant over both though.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 This draft talk is depressing, I just got reminded that we took D.J. Davis over Corey Seager and Max Pentecost over Trea Turner.
Cyborg Verified Member Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 It's close. Bryant > Correa > Seager for me. Though Correa could flip it easily. Bryant was starting AA at Correa's age.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 No Deck over Sale? Amateur-level despair. Yeah I'm not going all the way back to the Chad Jenkins over Trout days.

Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 Yeah I'm not going all the way back to the Chad Jenkins over Trout days. How do 15 teams get mike trout wrong in that draft.... It truly is baffling that nobody saw that this kid was going to be the best baseball player in a generation.

Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 I thought he went 25th? I thought he went in the teens but i could be wrong.... That is worse yet..... Still i make my point
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 Mike Trout wasn't even his team's first choice in that draft.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 Shields is pissed for getting pulled, I don't blame him cause, now I'm pissed.

Yeah. With players this talented there is also a lot of variance (so far to fall). So, it's basically a situation where you can't go right/wrong and any of them could blow the other two away.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 Shields is pissed for getting pulled, I don't blame him cause, now I'm pissed. Do you own James Shields? And if so, why?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 Lindor keeps defying you naysayers, I love it.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 Do you own James Shields? And if so, why? Like I told BTS, he's only one year removed from being half decent. So far, so good... save for the moron manager that dropped an IBB on Lindor after that lead-off double. He'd only given up i hit prior the Lindor dinger in the first and was near perfect up to that point, with 6 K's and a BB. He was doing alright in his first start too, until he walked the park. He hasn't been bad.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 Do you own James Shields? And if so, why? I have him pitching against you today, meat. Aren't you Bye Week in the BBDL?

This is usually when people jump ship on a player. It's not like there's any sort of upside to him, the projections have him as a workhorse type garbage pitcher.

Well, I picked him off waivers in the other 2, lol. Also, that's another reason I kept him, rather than stream.

BTS Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Dinger, where we having the Keon Broxton fap sesh?
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 lol Correa won't be moving off SS for a very long time.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2017 Author Posted April 12, 2017 lol Correa won't be moving off SS for a very long time. But the scouts say he's too tall...
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 But the scouts say he's too tall... I'm honestly disappointed this conversation is even happening here. Derek Jeter stayed at SS his whole career even when a much better defender joined the team. As long as Correa is adequate at SS and probably even if he gets pretty bad, he's staying at short.
Cyborg Verified Member Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Don't look now but J.A. Happ has 17 K and 0 BB in 11.2 IP. 1.66 xFIP to start the season.
