Gents, I appreciate the birthday wishes.

 

As I approach the twilight of my life and turn the ripe old age of 22, I'm really able to appreciate the important things in life.

 

I've said this before, and I'm sure I'll say it again, but it's a real treat playing fantasy ball with you all. This league is awesome, you are all awesome, and I hope we can keep the 20 of us together for a long time. As Lizzie McGuire once said, "you rock, don't ever change".

Just realizing we don't even have a consolation bracket.

 

I'd like to vote for this next year to be put in. Honestly in a league like this I think most would take pride in winning a consolation.

Could have sworn we had one in previous years, no? I wouldn't really know, since I've never missed the playoffs.

You can't do it with an 8 team playoff, I believe.

- Consolation bracket for losers

 

There are so many choices out there, they should be listening a little more to what people want. Even if they have a pay option which gives you more customizing would be smart for them right now.

I'm pretty sure about 98% of Yahoo leagues are 12 team 5x5 redrafts with casual baseball fans who don't give a s*** about this kinda stuff.

The ability to have a minor league roster for keeper leagues, and the league staying open during the offseason would be nice too.

Yeah, a more robust dynasty league option would be nice. Farm rosters, trading picks, offseason transactions, all the crap we have to do by hand.

I don't think a consolation bracket would make a good idea. The #16 ranked team could go from having a lottery draft pick to drafting 12th overall. I feel like you'd have teams just trying to lose their matchups. Because really, what's to get excited over about finishing 9th?

 

 

If the picks were decided on before the outcome of the playoffs I could see this making sense though.

Fantrax is just hideous from every angle. DDL will never move off Yahoo, it's written in our Charter.

Does anyone actually like Fantrax?

 

I like what they offer...but there are better formats out there that offer the same things. CBS Sports pro (pay) offers similar features and is slightly better.

Hate to break it to you, but your team is old as s*** too and riddled with position eligibility problems next year, as I'm sure you're well aware.

 

Just an FYI to all players: if you are about to make a SS trade with NJH...I will better his deal.
