Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 There's no way he stays healthy much longer. Don't sweat it. FU. I hope Carrasco blows out his rotator cuff.
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 18, 2015 Author Posted June 18, 2015 Impossible, I have virtually nothing invested in him. He's pure profit until his shoulder breaks again. FU. I hope Carrasco blows out his rotator cuff. I dunno, I sense some growing attachment...
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Whatever, you own him in a shallow league.

TRM Verified Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Dinger and I both laying offensive stinkers so far.. If featherd loses like this to Spanky this week, is it time to pack it in for the season?
TRM Verified Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Strongly contemplating calling up Joe Ross...
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Carlos Correa is pretty good at baseball.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Carlos Correa is pretty good at baseball. Concerns that the Astros made a mistake passing on Buxton have been pretty much put to rest at this point. They ended up getting more talent for the money going the route they did. Easily the best of their recent drafts.

McCullers progressed a lot faster than expected and looks like a major league starter right now.

NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Yeah, but then they biffed it the following year, passing on Bryant for Appel. Yep. The Astros draft this year looks great though; Bregman, Tucker and Cameron are all high-quality bats and they didn't have to pass up any clearly superior talents. It looks like the Cubs crushed the 2014 doing something similar. Kyle Schwarber was a discount pick but he's destroyed the minors and looks like a real MLB hitter right now. Great pick by Spanky in our draft last year.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Yeah, but then they biffed it the following year, passing on Bryant for Appel. Yeah it was weird that they felt compelled to draft Appel after having passed on him previously.

Spoonovic Verified Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Hey guys, I need your opinion on a trade in one of my leagues. I traded Cole and Liraino for Stanton and Gio Gonzalez yesterday. Someone today is offering me Springer and Keuchel for Stanton. I have to do this trade right? It is an 11 team money Rotisserie redraft league. I am first place. These are the categories and my rankings in them: http://i.imgur.com/j61HnWv.gif This is my roster (I made a lot of trades and ripped off a couple guys who don’t know much about baseball): http://i.imgur.com/ZffAI1i.gif

Spoonovic Verified Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 You should feel ashamed of yourself. Eh, it’s a money league! Plus, sometimes they were the ones who offered the deals. For example, I traded Gallo for Jordan Zimmerman.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 You should feel ashamed of yourself. Agreed. I am boycotting this request for help.
Spoonovic Verified Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Agreed. I am boycotting this request for help. I've given up great talent such as Gray, Cole, Lariano, Degrom, Ross, Springer, etc..
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 19, 2015 Author Posted June 19, 2015 I traded Stanton for Puig and Kluber a few weeks ago in a dum 12 teamer. Kuechel isn't somebody I'd be looking to buy right now. He's not a league winner, and you'd just be paying out the nose for performance to date. Owning Stanton is so fun too...
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Unless GB% is a category, Keuchel seems overrated at the moment. No way in hell he's the difference between Springer and Stanton in my opinion.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 I traded Stanton for Puig and Kluber a few weeks ago in a dum 12 teamer. Goddamn, what a haul
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Unless GB% is a category, Keuchel seems overrated at the moment. No way in hell he's the difference between Springer and Stanton in my opinion. Agreed. Especially if it's an AVG league rather than an OBP, Stanton is the far superior asset. Keuchel is nice, but TBH, I don't think he's THAT much better than replacement level in a shallow league with traditional stats rest-of-season.
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 You have more offense than you need, and you don't really need Springer back. So, I would try to trade Stanton for an elite pitcher like Scherzer, who can rack up some K's.
King Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Strongly contemplating calling up Joe Ross... He seems okay.

So, I would try to trade Stanton for an elite pitcher like Scherzer, who can rack up some K's. Stanton is worth a bit more than Scherzer alone, and it doesn't really matter if he has "more offense than he needs" since it's roto. I would just keep what you've got.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Anyone have a starting pitcher to deal?
