Trumbo gives you about 145 hits a year, which is like 35 more than Moss. A 0.300 OBP that comes with 145 hits, 35 Hr, 80 R, and 100 RBI is a very useful piece.

If I had his team I might not. He really needs the juice more than he needs the innings. Without Trumbo, he might only have one 20 HR hitter.

No, I just like 30+ HR 100 RBI bats. They're harder to come by than SP2/3 types like Lynn.

 

Trumbo in the best shape of his life this Spring...time to trade him to Boxy as back up to best shape Montero.

 

Trumbo's increased K Rate last year was one of the most puzzling for me. My initial thought was that he was in Arizona and they probably have him first pitch swinging every AB. However, he swung at less pitches outside the zone, more inside the zone and his contact rates are up from the past 2 years.

Chris Carter has over his career 5 percentage points of BB% on Trumbo. That's kind of a big deal.
