Do you know why he always trades assets for picks that he doesn't end up using? Feels like he's just trolling the whole league.

I mean, I'm probably not one to talk but I've never done anything consciously anti-competetive. If he's just putting his team at a disadvantage for shits and giggles, isn't that an issue?

He could have a super great reason for doing it that makes sense on a level none of us can comprehend but I somehow doubt it.

Where did I suggest that?

Okay, maybe I shouldn't have used suggesting, does implying he's gas canning work?

Holly f*** am I ever dumb. I just solicited NJH's outsider opinion on a trade that HE WAS OFFERING. Ironically, I haven't asked his opinion on anything fantasy related in over a year. I just decide like some dumb f*** that now would be a good time to consult him without first checking who even owns the team that's offering the player.

lol

Wow

That is hilariously amazing. Thank you for sharing that fail.

I figured it was unfair to NJH to expect him to keep that for himself so I spilled the beans.

Oh I was definitely going to tell everybody after you accepted/rejected the offer.

I just want to know what the deal is, just like I'd question any very lopsided trades. He's active and that's good enough for me but it's just so odd.

There was some other non-hilarious stuff in that message that I wanted to keep private for reasons I'm sure you understand. I figured it was best to control the leak by getting ahead of it so to speak.

Yeah, I don't get the angle, you'd have to ask GP.

whoever traded for the number 2. I might be willing to move up from 6. Any interest? Might consider the 3 waiver spot too. I'm at work for 12 hour shifts tonight and again tomorrow afternoon. so I might not surprise.

I traded for two. Gave up a good young assett in Odor for it too but I'll listen.

If there's anything comparable to when TCA drunkenly inquired what Hitlers I had available, the people deserve to know.

That's amazing. On par with Spanky drafting that murdered actress.

It's really interesting going through the trade history, Sanchez for Urias, what was I thinking? At least I turned Sanchize into Dozier...:P Then, there's Norris...*sighs* I'm not sure what will become of Almora, but Everth Cabrera can eat a massive bag of dicks. At least I've drafted well, and the rest of my trades have been decent.

P.S. KingKat, why did you have to select Roark over Jordan, lol. Damn!!

I wish I could say I had some terrific insight but I just went with the better projection.

The Martinez-Beltran trade was great too and you got a decent return for Bautista. You've also added some decent big leaguer starters for good prices (Dozier, Melky, Alvarez).

What's held you down is prospect drafting and the trading of Norris and Urias.

You talked me into that Urias 3 way, lol. *shakes fist*

Honestly, I was glad you took Roark from what I read about Jordan, now his arm is dead. :(

I had them very close, hence letting you pick.

Dead arm. Tons of competition. Outlook not good. Even Roark's situation isn't so hot to be honest but I sold my shares.

Did I? I remember being pretty annoyed that CatsAss landed Cliff Lee for Sanchez + #4. I had given Sanchez to CatsAss (for Matt Davidson) earlier in the year and probably preferred Urias at the time of your trade.

I definitely did talk you into Gray for #6 which worked out fine.

I think I took Hoffman with 6 which is kind of meh. Should have just taken Gray. I should remind myself of this so I'm not tempted to cut bait prematurely on Hoffman. If I ride it out, it could still work out.

Trading down in the initial draft doesn't look great.

- Spanky traded slot 4 (Miguel Cabrera, Byron Buxton) for slot 17 (Justin Verlander, Taijuan Walker).

- KingKat traded slot 3 (Giancarlo Stanton, Carlos Correa) for slot 8 (Prince Fielder, Jose Fernandez).

- jays_fever traded slot 5 (Andrew McCutchen, Zack Wheeler) for slot 16 (Stephen Strasburg, Billy Hamilton).

Obviously the slots are more than the top two players, but missing out on the elite talent looks costly.

Benoit on the table for those looking for dem savez. I was originally planning to keep him and then I came to my senses and realized that a 37 year old reliever belongs on a more serious contender.

Thankfully for me, NJH picked my pocket with Zunino and I was forced to draft Fernandez. Fielder was garbage though and that alone makes it a very bad trade for me just not the outright disaster it would have been with Zunino.

The lack of big bats at the top of the 2014 draft must have been annoying.

Usually there are two or three college guys who can hit and have big power. 2014's top college position players are expected to derive their value in other ways: Pentecost, Conforto, Turner, Zimmer. Schwarber probably could have gone higher in our draft I guess.

How did Dinger end up with Fernandez? Must be something missing from the trade history.

Hmm, I'll look into it. It was part of a Zimmerman trade.

I was in the playoffs and Fernandez was shut down so I traded him for Lester and Zimmerman in an aggressive win now move. Lost in the semis. Dinger was in the same playoffs too which added intrigue to the whole thing.

If we don't make that trade, he might have taken the title and I would still have Fernandez. Everybody lost that trade.

I recall having a conversation with NJH offline, where I had Stroman on my board, but I let him have him. And I took Richie f***ing Shaffer instead. Wow.
