I feel like Ross is underrated by a lot of people. Guy is only 27 and has been outstanding since joing the rotation midseason last year. Mid-90s heat and a wipeout slider. I offered him to a couple of other teams and was a bit surprised at how little he was valued. If he makes 33 starts this year with the same results he's had over his last 30 he'll start to get a lot of attention.

 

Leaves me without a starting second baseman this season, though I'm more retooling for 2015. Hopefully Profar is ready for next season to step in as my starter at second base. BTS gets a good bat at second base who'll provide above average production from that position.

 

Ross' advanced stats were really good. His xFIP and SIERA weren't that much higher than his ERA and his SwStr% is third best in all of baseball. Hopefully he holds up as a starter, and pitching in San Diego is icing on the cake.

I don't love Ross. The K/BB and OBPA are mediocre and he's an injury risk. Prefer Kendrick.
