Yup. Literally if he had been taken by any other team in the league, I would have taken Jackson. Not just Safeco, either, they are terrible at developing players.

 

Edit: and I kinda traded for the top pick just to get Rodon and Aiken looks like he has an excellent delivery and command for someone out of high school. I think Jackson will probably get Zunino'd unfortunately. Hope I'm wrong (but not really)

I'm going to laugh unbelievably hard if Jackie Bradley + Daniel Nava blow OBP for Boxy. Or if Workman gives up 3 ER and he loses ERA. He had the win sealed up, but played all 3 of them anyway.

 

If Nava + Bradley combine to reach base 2/8 or less times against Anibal Sanchez, he likely loses the matchup.

Well obviously he wasn't getting past me at 14. My ideal scenario was for Sammy not to draft Tolek and for me to draft him and hope Hoffman falls at 14 but with Tolek gone, I prefered to just nab Hoffmann now. For a long time, I was poised to draft Tolek at 4 but I eventually convinced myself that I could live with Hoffman as a fall back if Tolek wasn't at 6 which freed me to take Jackson who I think is the hitter to have from this draft.

He seems to need a lot of development, primarily an arm strength guy right now. For that reason I'd probably prefer Hoffman. Although after the top four there was no clear way to proceed. Kolek and Hoffman are both good prospects.
