Andrus is so overrated in fantasy baseball. I actually liked Spanky's side of that deal better - unfortunately he got hurt.

Ruh roh, Elvis Andrus with arm soreness.

TJS, book it.

That's funny if he actually does have a serious injury because I made an offer for him last night

Michael Pineda now has 14 Ks thru 8.1 IP this spring. Not bad for a comeback.

Whoever got flack for saying Pineda was better than Morrow isn't looking so dumb.

Thanks guys!

I eagerly await to see how wise you are, on a scale from dead frog - to Gandalf

Sent you a PM on proboards.

Would one of you do me a favour and post results from your July draft?

I just want an idea of what will be available if I deal for picks. Thanks in advance!

Salazar, Betts, and Gray are the late standouts there for me.

Almonte is going to be a helium guy this year, BP already has him at #46.

There's a mistake in the list. I drafted Betts. BTS made the pick for me in absentia. Betts went to my team not his.

If I had drafted Herrerra with one of my two last picks as I had initially planned I would have killed that draft. My first four picks were good (Moran, Rodriguez, Owings, Betts) but then I really punted the last two picks with Fullmer and Okey.

I wish you weren't aware of this. I tried to pry him away before the lists came out but it wasn't to be.

He is available, I just tend to think his trade value will double in the near future.

Yeah. The pick was mine, but we agreed mid-draft that I would trade you Oswalt and the 100th pick for Torii Hunter, so you told me who to draft and then I sent him to you. Astute pick. Betts is one of my favourite prospects now, but I had no idea who he was at the time.

Holy s***... I had forgotten the details of the trade. That was a disgusting overpay on my part. I really pulled it out of the fire by getting you to draft Betts and not someone else.

For all intents and purposes though, that does make him unavailable.

That really depends on the valuation of the buyer. If a rebuilding team likes him as the centrepiece for an SP3/4 type, then I'd move him. If someone is offering me a bench player for him, I won't bite.

I cant wait for the June draft. I'm seeking redemption.

What kind of return would you expect for the 5th pick in your league? There seems to be a quite a disparity between actual and perceived value. I'm considering moving mine in the BBDL.

Really high picks have held significant value thus far.

The 5th overall pick or your 5th round pick? A 5th round pick has virtually no value, but the 5th overall pick could be a nice trade chip. I traded my 1st rounder (#10) with Gay Sanchez and Jake Odoriffic for Ryan Zimmerman last year. In FC, I traded my 1st (#4 I think) with Christian Yelich and Syndergaard for Cargo. A 1st rounder certainly won't fetch you an all-star in their prime, but combined with another Top 25-50 prospect, you can definitely get a nice player.

Personally, I'm all about selling minor league assets to rebuilding teams for mid-prime 1st division players. I would advise you to wait until a few teams start falling back from the pack, then come in strong with a good MiLB package for players they might consider selling.

5th Overall...Probably John Axford

IMO trading any 1st rounder for a borderline closer like Axford would be idiotic. I find that mid-tier closers like Street or Rodney can usually be had for -- at most -- a 2nd rounder, usually a 3rd. I did a price check on Axford in FC before the cut down, I could have had him for a 3rd rounder but decided against it.

That's extremely helpful, seriously. I was really unclear on what I could expect. I don't place much value on the pick, but that's no reason for me to accept anything less than market value in return.

I agree. The offer was a combination of connor insisting on trading picks, his history of overpaying with futures, and the low value I place on a pick that probably doesn't net a top 100 prospect, judging by your DDL draft.

You're welcome. It's hard to suss out what these picks are worth until the market establishes itself, and you don't want to miss out on a good player because you misjudged the value of a pick. I would keep your 1st for a better trade target, you will be able to get decent RPs for mid-round picks at some point in the season.
