SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Once I get him, I'll sell him to you at 25% markup. Only 25%? Seems like a bargain to me!
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Would any of you guys trade a decent starting pitcher for Gonzalez?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Who's Gonzalez? Adrian Gonzalez. North is going to try to broker him to a 3rd party so he can net a pitcher; he can worry about trading for Gonzalez after.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 It's more fun to cut out N49, whenever possible.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 What if KitKat wants a pitcher? KitKat is what the Dogg calls me.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 It's more fun to cut out N49, whenever possible. I thought there was a rule somewhere saying we had to go through No49 when acquiring other team's assets?
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 KitKat is what the Dogg calls me. Please don't compare me to the dogg. I blame spell check. Or maybe I'm just hungry and need a break.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 he tried for Springer so many times in the winter that I knew I just had to sniff out who really had the hard on for Springer. Cats Ass showed himself early and often so it wasn't tough to figure out who it was.

Cats Ass showed himself early and often so it wasn't tough to figure out who it was. You were the one who held up that whole thing lol. If you had accepted our trade, an eight-team deal would have been completed. We could have made history! I was likely to flip Springer to z3r0s for Polanco, instead of to CatsAss. At the end of the day though, I ended up with Price and dealt Choo, which was the basis of my end of everything from the very beginning.

Just as an FYI, I've had a bone for Springer since the original draft when you took him right before me and I had to take the 'consolation prize' of Gregory Polanco
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 At this point, how can anyone not have a massive hard on for Springer?
TheHurl Site Manager Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 At this point, how can anyone not have a massive hard on for Springer? bad haircut
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 At this point, how can anyone not have a massive hard on for Springer? This is probably the ideal time to sell on him actually. His hype is through the roof, and probably won't match his performance (although he should be good).
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 At this point, how can anyone not have a massive hard on for Springer? I don't have a massive hard-on for Springer. The K rate is very disturbing and the hit tool is average at best. I see him having a career more similar to Chris Young than, say, Alfonso Soriano, which is the upside. I've been wrong before, I just don't love him.

I think Chris young of 2007-2011 is a pretty valuable asset, especially in a league this deep. 20+SB/20+HR CF is fairly nice.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I am honestly not a fan of Springer (fantasy wise). That K rate is brutal. I see a ceiling of Mike Cameron, which would make an above average player in reality. Fantasy wise I don't see that as an amazing skill set that everyone seems to be in love with.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 At this point, how can anyone not have a massive hard on for Springer? Erectile Dysfunction
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 And on another note... What the hell is going on in spring training? Darvish to begin the year on the DL.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Ouch. Back injuries suck. Hopefully old Cliff doesn't decline too much, you need those two to be studs.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Yes, I do. I expect the DL stint will be retroactive and he'll be fine to go the second time through the rotation. I hope..

Also, he's going to be turning 25 so it's not like he's a young 22-year-old player coming up from the minors.

The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Another Ace going down... Kershaw to miss his start this weekend. Big hit to the reigning champ if its more then just a couple starts.
