It's hard to find a clear definition. The Montero-Pineda trade was reported to be a challenge trade.

My understanding of a challenge trade has always been similarly aged players at the same position getting dealt. I guess similar costs too. Most trades are influenced by salaries, positional needs, and age. A classic challenge trade is pure player vs. player

What pick did you grab Xander at? The front 4 of your rotation is solid and you have some nice back end guys to fill it. Other than a few holes (Weeks, possibly Grandal if he doesn't take a step forward) the offense is good. It appears to be what I imagine is league average. You have youth on your side with a lot of the starters though which is always good. I would have to see all the teams to make a call on whether or not you're a playoff team.

 

PS - The BBDL only has 3 RP slots or you only drafted 3?

Only drafted 3. I dunno, I'm pretty happy with the outcome. I took Bogaerts at 46.

Nope. You just need 5 reliable holds guys. You can get them much later than closers, and you'll beat 90-100% of the league in holds.

My draft strategy involved avoiding relievers in the hopes I could trade for them down the road.
