Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 much more than what he was getting from me...not to mention I've been responding about 5 days after our counteroffers so I'm sure it was frustrating for him. I think we were at Springer, Wood and the #5 waiver for Upton but I wanted a good waiver spot back. That's a pretty solid haul. I'm really into Springer right now.

Also, I'll send you a PM about Springer.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Looking to shake up some things. Send me some e-mails or ideas if interested in anyone. If I move Alvarez, I'd like to add a young starting pitcher. Also, willing to move Alfonso Soriano and his 30 plus HR's for a veteran starter. Howie Kendrick is also available - looking for a solid prospect and a draft pick.
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 12, 2014 Author Posted February 12, 2014 So with my addition of LoMo, I now have 21 players. First person to offer me a late pick gets Mark Buehrle. This guy still has value as a back-end starter in a league this deep. Kind of surprised you want to trade him and keep Doubront and Kuntzler, TBH.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Doubront doesn't even have a solid rotation spot.
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 12, 2014 Author Posted February 12, 2014 Doubront doesn't even have a solid rotation spot. Might even be behind Webster (so #7), and then Ranaudo and Workman are there too, with Barnes and Owens on the way, Rubby De La Rosa a wildcard... Solid pitching depth for Boston in 2014.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 I cut Doubront in FC, and we have 23 keepers. As a fellow contender, I'm quite happy that you've decided to hold on. I don't even think he's useful in this format. The damage to K/BB and OBPA isnt worth the Ks.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 And now that I've put my foot in my mouth, I'm dure Doubront will K 200 and Archer will crap out.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 His own team seems to prefer Ryan Dempster... enough said.

torontofan Verified Member Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 The trade between me and KingKat still needs to be processed when you guys have time.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 sorry to all that I have deals on the go with. I'm off next week and will be confirming everything.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Looking for a quality 3B option. Prospect with close proximity to the majors would suffice as well. If you're looking to move a 3B or would entertain the idea, pop me a message.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Zero offers on Buehrle so far. He'll go for a 6th, people. You'll have to just cut him if we wait you out.
torontofan Verified Member Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Since I am leaving tomorrow until after the cut deadline here is my official cut list: Aaron Loup, Antonio Bastardo, Cody Ross, Dane De La Rosa, David Hernandez, Emilio Bonifacio, Henry Urrutia, Michael Young, Justin Grimm Once the Zimmerman trade is processed, my roster is up to date.

Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I'm looking for a 4th OF/UTIL with some pop. Preferably someone older who will come cheaper due to his age but can still provide a good 2014. Shoot me a PM if you have someone in mind.

Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I've got Anthony Gose. He hit a homer that one time. Though he is the clear power juggernaut I am looking for, he's just too far out of my price range.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Alfonso Soriano OTB if anyone is looking for a power bat in their outfield/utility spot. Shoot me an e-mail.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Also, Shane Victorino, Howie Kendrick, Phil Hughes, and Brandon McCarthy are OTB as well. Looking to shake things up.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Soriano, Victorino, Tex, V-Mart, Hughes, McCarthy, Kendrick, Werth OTB. Not the last day to acquire them lol, but looking to shake things up.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Less than a week left to make your cuts. If anyone has an untrimmed roster past the deadline, we will use a randomizer to remove the necessary number of players from rosters. (Not really though.)
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 If anyone has an untrimmed roster past the deadline, we will use a randomizer to remove the necessary number of players from rosters. Can you imagine?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Can you imagine? That's the rule in FC. I like that there is incentive to make your cuts on time, although I understand people wanting to keep their options open as long as possible. Personally, I think if you waited this long to make moves, you handcuffed yourself, but that's just me.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 In the salary dynasty league I'm in, if you make mistakes or miss deadlines or over the cap, you get fined by fortifying a draft pick or something.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Harsh but fair. If you can't get excited about fantasy ball this time of yeah, then a dynasty isn't for you. We gonna do our FC deal?
