I thought there was only "randomness" in baseball playoffs? Luck and momentum with teams peaking at the right time can take a team far. We have seen the Habs, Oilers and Flames make big pushes to the final after squeaking in, but none of those 3 closed the deal. Bruins got tossed last yr in the 1st round by FLR after a record breaking regular season. That was painful.

Hoping my Bruins take it to the Leafs again this year.

shut your whore mouths

I wonder how many posts and crossbars AM has hit. He should have plenty more with a bit of luck.

Dude makes the bells ring every night.

Nothing would make me happier than the Leafs eliminating the Bruins and simultaneously eliminating Jack Edwards.

Gotta hope the Leafs could score 4 to 5 goals, or else it's going to be tough to win games. I can't see them winning 2-1 games or 3-2 games.

I guess we'll see. They've shown they can play a strong defensive game... Problem is it comes and goes. No one knows what the next 10 days will look like.

Goaltending is a huge issue as well. I can't see Woll or Samsonov taking this team far into the Playoffs.

I want the Leafs to go as far as possible. Would be a great thing for the city and also for the local restaurants/bars.

Leafs have a great offensive core with Matthews, Marner, and Nylander. One of the best in the league for sure. Sucks they haven't been able to take advantage of that during their prime years. Defensively and goaltending, this team doesn't have it to make a deep Playoff push. Could be wrong but every April it's Deja Vu with this squad. I think Boston as well is going to come out and take it another level especially after last year's Round One exit.

Hard to be a Leafs fan when tickets are out of your price range pretty much every single game. Not spending close to $400-$500 for a pair of Green's or Purple's for a game + money for expensive food/drinks at the Scotia Arena. Was looking at getting a pair of tickets for Round One through the MLSE presale I had, and Green's were $850 for a pair. Unbelievable. Cheaper to fly down to the US to see a Leafs game.

Regardless, hope the Leafs could make it far. If I lose the $20, no big deal. Happy Leafs win. If they lose, at least I won't be completely heartbroken haha.

The Leafs aren’t beating the Bruins haha. This team has no goaltending and defensively is vulnerable. Only way Leafs win a game is if they score 4-5 goals.

Leafs played fine honestly

Outshot them, hit some posts

Lmao keep drinking the Kool aid.

Leafs played fine maybe for 1.5 periods, but after it was all downhill.

Couldn't get a big save, big guys couldn't elevate their game when it matters, special teams not good enough.

You can apply these criticisms to the Leafs playoff performances for pretty much most of the past 8 years.

Pretty much, they need more traffic in front of their tendies, like the Bruins do, two perfect screens(Sammy had no chance), and what were Edmundson and Reaves thinking on that first goal, fugly. They outplayed them for the most part, but those first shots going in in the 1st and 2nd were backbreakers, along with the 4-3 powerplay.

A perfect night.

Bruins get most of the bounces to smoke the Leafs Game 1 without Pastrnak or Marchand hitting the net yet, and the Jays get another W on the road.
