z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 My buddy sent me this and I literally couldn't help myself but post it here. Forgive the stupid bars, I couldn't be f***ed to find out where he got it for a better link.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 The Bruins keep pulling just enough good young players out of nowhere This Mason Lohrei guy might be a stud Brazeau and Beecher seem like NHL players They have that Matt Poitras guy who had shoulder surgery but seemed good People keep ranking their farm system as the worst in hockey but it keeps producing lol. They have developed guys like Swayman and several others beautifully. Two way player factory. Meanwhile in Leaf land.... We've lost so many players after their entry contract because of the core(cap issues), years and years of it. They need to extend Knies like yesterday. You're misconstrued.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 I really want the Bruins to run the table... with an Oiler W
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 A RIELLY GOOD PERSPECTIVE After a few Leafs and head coach Sheldon Keefe repeated their contention they are “close”, “right there” and other cliches of an imminent Cup breakthrough, veteran defenceman and alternate captain Morgan Rielly offered this on the end of a truncated season: “It’s always difficult, this year maybe more than ever. Partly because of (losing) in overtime, partly me being on the ice for the (winning) goal, partly it’s age (he’s now 30). Every year gets more challenging. “I don’t want to stand here and tell you that we’re on the doorstep of anything. Because we’re sitting here doing this today. But the belief is there that it’s attainable. How close are we? We’ll see. It feels both attainable and a way’s away. That’s what drives you as an individual and the team forward.”

They need to extend Knies like yesterday. You're misconstrued. Like who? Knies is really good, Woll might be a thing, but some of these other guys in recent years like Robertson, Sandin, Liljegren just seem like poofs who are never going to do much in the playoffs. Maybe they will get 40 points in the regular season or something. Wow, Justin Brazeau was actually a Leafs prospect and you guys let him walk? Insane! I guess Toronto just hates big/tough/fast players who try hard!!!
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 I really want the Bruins to run the table... with an Oiler W I am not allowing myself to believe much in my Bruins yet after 1st round last season. But last night was encouraging. Have a Box for Oilers game next Tuesday heading up to Edm. Place should be going off. The Oil fans are loud. Watching McJesus is worth price of admission alone.

wilko Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2024 Posted May 8, 2024 I hope the Oilers pound the Canucks. Their fanbase is insufferable and I want them to riot.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2024 Posted May 8, 2024 I hope the Oilers pound the Canucks. Their fanbase is insufferable and I want them to riot. They'll riot regardless of what happens. Oilers nation is pretty crap too. To be fair, Winnipeg and Calgary seem to be the only 2 Canadian fanbases that I feel are pretty tame and reasonable for the most part. Every other one is a tire fire.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 One look at a Federal electoral map and you all know which team I'm cheering for in the Canadian series. Also let's face it, the Oilers have the better chance of the two of actually winning it all. Standings be damned.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 Leafs also are tied for the longest playoffs appearance streak. So basically the Raptors until 2019.
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 Boston is no match for Florida, shots haven't even been close. Florida is better in every single way. Faster, more skilled, stronger. But my lord a few of the calls or non-calls have been ******** this series.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 They are just steamrolling Boston. I think we all knew Florida was going to smoke whoever came out of the Bos/Tor series. This should come as no surprise to anyone.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 McNugget got smoked at the games end last night! Thoughts on the play? Couple games for Soucy I’m thinking.
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 McNugget got smoked at the games end last night! Thoughts on the play? Couple games for Soucy I’m thinking. McDavid asked for it with that two handed chop The crosscheck to the face was kind of accidental, buddy didn't expect his buddy to shove McDouche down first Seeing as Sam Bennett sucker punched Marchand and gave him a concussion and did not get suspended or even fined, there should be nothing here

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Hopefully Edmonton tonight could force a Game 7. From an entertainment perspective, would like to see McDavid in the Stanley Cup.
