He's one of those guys who falls into they category of most talented players that no one wants. He's never figured out that teams will always prefer a hardworking, reliable 30 point guy over one who sells out for offense in order to score 40.

Assigned to the AHL though. Unless he suddenly makes himself the hardest working guy in that league, he's pretty much out of rope in terms of convincing anyone he could help a winning NHL team.

Just randomness and bad luck can explain their 2-2 start. This Leafs team is too good of a team to be playing like this. It's still very early.

but outshooting teams like the Coyotes and Habs and still losing is still f***ing hilarious

 

there is also some part of it that is bad goaltending and not bad luck but way too early to say that

The Habs game was goaltending, Murray was hot garbage, Kallgren had no chance on both PP goals. Leafs turned it up in the 3rd but 20 minutes doesn't win you hockey games, not in this league. They had a schedule to go 4-0 and s*** the bed.
