Considering what Vegas gave up to get Tatar, this seems like an overly large investment in Pacioretty. He either costs them a big extension well into his 30s or walks after the year, doesn't seem like a smart move.

wowza. Love that as a Habs fan. Tartar Sauce isn't nothing, and I really like Suzuki.

 

Lose for Hughes. That should be the goal for the Habs this season.

tatar's no trade clause kicks in at the start of this season. At $5.3M and the rift between Vegas and Tatar, it was much more of a must deal than Patches in Montreal.

I'm trying to figure out why this was even arranged. Good god, that's cringe-y and awkward. I feel so bad for Mark Borowiecki for having to endure...whatever the hell that was.

 

Boro should have had his agent kill that as soon as he was asked to participate. I'm assuming that's what everyone else did, which is the only explanation for choosing a #7 d-man to interview the team owner.

I hope it's something like that and not any personal matter pulling him away from GM duties in Tampa.

So the Sens chuck Borowiecki in front of the camera's, interview their own owner for a State of the Franchise, and now throw him under the bus again by only letting him answer questions at their golf and luncheon today, that's pathetic. Mark has balls of steel, good for him.

It was personal , as he wanted time with his family, now. He's going to Detroit in the near future though.

What'd you think of poor Borowiecki?

 

I think at this point he’s the only player on the team accepting these absurd requests because he’s a borderline NHLer and thinks it will help him prolong his career to be seen as a yes man. I don’t really blame him.
