P2F Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 What a first period that was. Now THAT was good hockey.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 Well, game 3 is now must win territory for Nashville. Hope they put a fight and this doesn't end in 4 or 5

JG34 Verified Member Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Drouin traded to Montreal for Sergachev. Interesting trade. Curious to see how Drouin does.
Stoneyen Verified Member Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 This seems like a very good trade for Montreal at first glance. They've got Drouin on a great contract too, 6x33M
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 There's going to be plenty more trades like this up to the protection deadline. The Habs get the edge, but Sergachev is going to be a stud, and the Lightning don't have to protect him. Good deal both ways, imo. It's going to be an interesting trade period.
JG34 Verified Member Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 There's some good names on the unprotected list for the expansion draft. https://www.nhl.com/news/protected-list-for-vegas-golden-knights-nhl-expansion-draft/c-289972722
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 It would be pretty hilarious if Vegas made a lot of deals with teams to not take certain players if they exposed them and then just renaged on everyone

I heard they're up to 3 1sts in the coming draft so far.

I feel like if they didn't have the deal in place, NYI would have just exposed Pelech and Pulock and protected a bunch of their forwards. Vegas getting De Haan + #15 instead of Ryan Pulock is a pretty good deal.

Vegas took care of this on their own, the only other deal was Smith going to the Flames, nice deal for them. What do you Flame fans think?

This seems pretty likely, and just goes to show that I probably shouldn't be commenting too deeply on such hockey matters
JG34 Verified Member Posted June 22, 2017 Posted June 22, 2017 Vegas making some good trades to eat money. Punting several picks but have made a few good ones as well!

P2F Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2017 Posted June 22, 2017 The Panthers leaving Marchessault unprotected doesn't make sense to me.
