Term isn't the best, but he'll only be 32 when the contract is up. Plus that $4.5M should be easy enough to hide if need be...or if he bolts for KHL there are no cap penalties I believe.

I watched the replay of the game, that was a pretty weird sequence of events.

 

First, ovechkin gives the old 2 hand chop to Crosby as he heading to the net, then his stick clips him in the head and he starts to fall, right into a cross check in the dome.

 

Hope he doesn't have to retire due to this, that's what... 4th or 5th concussion?

This sucks. I'm assuming he misses the rest of the playoffs.

 

I felt like the Pens had a really good chance of repeating this year. :(

St.Louis/Edmonton and NYR/Pitt as my final 4. Chicago and Boston screwed me in the 1st round.

I remember the booing, but I don't ever remember hearing that they sang it later. That was 10 years ago so it's possible I don't remember. Us old guys have memory lapses now and again

No, some tried to drown out the booing to no avail. I was more leaning to the point, that most Americans wouldn't know our Anthem. I do recall the Nashville fans singing our Anthem as gratitude to the fans in Toronto who picked up the American anthem when the singer had mic issues at the ACC. They did it with a Singer helping them get through it, was pretty cool.

Damn that is a colossal collapse. Blowing a 3 goal lead with a shade over 3 minutes left. Reminiscent of that Leafs/Bruins game 7 playoff game a few years ago.
