Kinsler is pretty good there though, and he has a large major league sample size behind that.

Profar only played 2B thirty-two times in the minors.

Mark Teixiera has been put back on the DL. Replacing him at 1B will be Overbay, and they've recalled OF Zolio Almonte to replace Tex.

 

Here's what you'll get from Almonte:

 

.297, 6 HR, 36 RBI, 30/47 BB/K ratio. Not much of an arm, though. Most likely the Yanks made this move due to Wells and Ichiro struggling, and Boesch is on the DL.

I can believe it--and remember, Almonte's AAA numbers will likely drop against MLB pitching. Of course, the Yanks are desperate enough to have AAAA outfielder Thomas Neal on the roster.. it's a wonder how the Yankees are even still in contention.
