Hey everybody,

 

I've been a lurker for a few years now, and decided maybe it's time to finally join up! I'm still a bit of a novice on stats like FIP, xFIP, RAR, etc but I understand them decently, and am trying to become a sponge and soak up as much knowledge as possible!

 

I'm a bit of an optimist, possibly like a Bizarro Trouba lol, but I will try and tone it down a bit to not sound like a total homer.

A friend introduced me to the site as a good place to read, learn and talk. Just getting into baseball and have been watching progressively more over the past couple years. I like numbers but am still learning my way around everything that sabermetrics has to offer. I'm a hockey fan at heart.

Lurked on the old board since sometime in 2010/2011 and lurked over here. Made accounts in both but never really posted. Might get a little more active. I've learnt a lot already on this board about baseball generally, and I especially like the stats focus. Also seems like a good group of posters.

 

One little question, it appears my money Manziel profile pic is not showing up, any one know why that might be the case?
