Never was on any 'old board' or whatnot but decided to join here since the potential is promising. Always wanted a decent Jays board to catch up on news and put in my $0.02 every now and then. kudos :)

Hi everyone.I am very impressed with the quality of discussion on this board. I am a former Expos fan that became a die hard Jays fan in 2008. I used to post regularly on the bluejays message board with over 7,000 posts.

I'm like 99% sure you're in the comment sections of The Score's various baseball blogs.

You guys will find this absolutely ridiculous, but Vanland thinks I'm Lee_Marvin.

That's some funny s***. Van seems like a sensitive guy who's been traumatized by Lee's attacks on him. I remember him accusing me of the same thing a few years back when I first got on his case (I think Lee was know as freepizza or something at the time). He even wanted me to go on facebook to prove to him that I'm not him lol.

What was you name on the old board?

Interestingly enough, I had just switched my avatar a few days before the death of the old board to the one you're using right now.

Ju1ced, I know you want to go easy on the banhammer, but some guys like Zee and Clomero are getting kinda ridiculous.

Hi Gordie,

Yes I post a lot on drunkjaysfans.. The comments section on DJF has some technical issues , so it's hard to reply directly to comments.

Ok, now I'm starting to feel some lag on this board. Maybe some upgrades are necessary?

And has a reaction happy douche canoe writing for it. I've totally changed my point of view on the Score guys. Parkes now seems like the best of the bunch, Drew is still great and Stoet seems to be interested in driving up the hit count on his page than actual Jays discussion.

Seems to be here and there. Lately actually seemed good for me.

Going to upgrade by the end of the month. Have a busy week ahead.

Yeah it's not a big deal at all. Comes and goes, but even when it lags the delays aren't brutal.

Stoeten has come after me for making comments he disagrees with. He is pretty "pithy" & likes to use profanity to win an argument.

However, I had a technical problem with the site & I emailed him. He responded pretty quickly & was polite.

I think Stoeten is much more reasonable in terms of baseball philosophy on his podcasts.

DJF has become very popular over the years & I think it allows Stoeten & Drew & Parkes to make a full time living talking & writing about baseball which is pretty impressive.

I like Archi Zuber's posts & Drew Fairservice has a good radio personality. Parkes comes across as a baseball snob who supports the San Francisco Giants.

This new board has the best technical set up I have ever seen with the editing features, post counts etc....Kudos to whoever developed the software.

Drew is a s*** hack writer and a terrible speaker on podcasts. Stoeten is the smartest one and the best writer. Parkes comes off like an arrogant dick but is actually pretty soft spoken and humble in person (also, he's like 6'3).

Stoeten is smart but he got too angry at fans who were upset with the Jays performance this year. He was mad at fans who booed the team. He had far too many posts this year complaining about his followeres as opposed to what was going on with the team. It's still a very entertaining site to read about baseball.

I think Parkes works on a different website, Getting Blanked or Fanatico, but he hardly gets any comments.

Drew has a good radio voice.

I don't listen much to them anymore, but I always preferred Stoeten to the other two. Lately they're too unwilling to criticize an org that, frankly, warrants criticism. I don't blame them, considering they're now Rogers employees and probably afraid of getting the Wilner treatment, but they were a lot better when they had nobody to answer to but their audience.

LOL!. Stoeten goes nuts when he gets called a Rogers employee. He works for the part of the Score that was NOT sold to Rogers.

I do agree that they are more reluctant to criticize the Jays now that they are part of the "established media". I think Stoeten is allowed to visit the Jays Press Clubhouse.

Stoeten has been accused of being a "Mini Wilner." because of his reluctance to criticize the Jays.

Wasn't this past year Stoet's first at the Score? I get the feeling someone told him to jack his hit counter so he can justify his job, which I assume is still being reviewed. Hence his constant bickering and combativeness. Bringing everyone to argue with him.

Fairservice is more of a manager than a writer, like the guys at mlbtr, not that there is anything wrong with that.

I really think Parkes is a good writer at fanatico as his writing makes me interested in things I normally don't give a shiny about, like the NBA, but maybe I am alone in that.

You could be right about that. I guess DJF was independent up until last year & the Score bought them? That makes sense.

It was and still is very easy to put up a fake screen name at DJF , so I had a few clowns that were impersonating me . I would then get slammed by Stoeten or other posters for making ridiculous statements, which were not mine. Stoeten could have double checked IP addreses. Anyways, it's just baseball , but they do a pretty good job of covering the Jays year round.

Technically, he's not a Rogers employee.

Enjoying the new board so far. Tons more features and a lot fewer trolls. One feature I'd recommend people using is the "Thanks" feature.

Instead of quoting a post and then typing "I agree" or "+1" you could simply save yourself time by using the "Thanks" feature. It conveys the same message, saves yourself some time, and doesn't clutter the board with multiple people making similar "+1" posts.
