    He was an OK low leverage reliever until last years. I do not know how he did it, but this year he increased his K/9 by 55% and lowered his BB/9 by 46%!

    I was advocating trading during the past off-season. Unfortunately, I think it is too late to trade him now unless it is meant to be a pure salary dump. There is no way you get anything useful for him today.

    Jays got out hit 46 to 18 in the series. Offense averaging less than 5 hits a game. It is a miracle we were not swept.

    I think IQ is an underappreciated quality in baseball. For example, Votto would be no where as successful as he has been for so long in his career had he not been a very smart and analytical player. Now try to put Vlad and Analytical in the same sentence while keeping a straight face. Vlad is just dumb. You see it in his baserunning. You see it in his lack of adjustment. You see it in his inability to listen to his teammates when they tell him to f*** off with his childish antics during interviews. The guy is full of himself and does not realize how dumb and replacement-level he is.

    Trading Vlad should be plan A this off season. I am confident that Horwitz with his 16% walk rate can at least match Vlad's production.

    Lukes has an OPS of 962 with a 2BB/SO ratio in 88 Buffalo ABs. The Blue Jays have not given any Buffalo player a fair shot at MLB recently, so we do not know how those numbers would actually translate.
