  1. Term just living rent free in dean's tiny little empty head
  2. I think Vlad & Bo both get traded before the start of next season, and honestly their 4-5 combined fWAR likely won't be that hard to replace for cheaper than what it'd cost to keep them.
  3. 5 pitchers combined for the Bisons shut out today with 2 hits, 3 walks and 13 K's All interesting arms too with Yariel, Fluharty, Little, Juenger and Danner
  4. Dang, lots of little injuries piling up early on.
  5. Man I love coming to this site and seeing that some of the most annoying douches have been ban hammered.
  6. If you like whining like a bitch about a team that wins 90 games per year and makes the playoffs three of four years then you've got lots to whine about.
  7. Yeah, it must be way more fun being an insufferable f***ing twat of a baseball fan who whines about everything. Don't even know why some of these people even follow the team if it makes them so miserable. You'd think the Jays were in the midst of a 20+ year playoff drought and only spending $100 million a season the way some of you piss and moan. Whatever floats your boat I guess. I'd way rather be a "homer" and try to enjoy this team winning around 90 games a year and hope they find their mojo in the playoffs at some point.
  8. Spanky and term you guys keep fighting the good fight, I love it. I didn't even bother coming here after the two L's because I knew the whiners would be out in full force A split to start in that s*** hole Trop against that horse shoe up their ass team is a great way to get the season rolling!
  9. Luckily they seem to have no issue signing quality starters and also fixing starters that they pull off the scrap heap.
  10. Zulu was way further down the reliever depth chart than Parsons is on the starter depth chart. The Jays are down two very important relievers to start the season and Zulu still wasn't going to get a sniff of MLB action. It's too bad but this is what will.happen when you have this many good relievers knocking on the door and tons of depth. Remember, the Jays snagged Cabrera off waivers just last year.
  11. The first three or so pages of this thread after the game started are f***ing embarrassing lmao
  12. Caminero didn't make the opening day roster I see.
  13. Meh, sucks that Zulu hasn't figured out how to command his stuff but oh well. The Jays lost Merryweather last year and he's way better then Zulu, still had one of the better pens league wide. And this year they have more solid relief arms toiling in the upper minors.
  14. I kind of get a kick out of the crowd wanting to run Atkins out of town. I get it, frustrated cause there are zero playoff wins. But he's the guy that built a team deep enough to still make the playoffs despite hugely disappointing performances from their stars last season. Vlad 1.0 fWAR, Kirk 1.6 fWAR, Manoah -0.4 fWAR, Springer 2.1 fWAR, Varsho 2.2 fWAR even Bo was only 3.6 fWAR, which was pathetic for him. All of those are below what's expected, some of them WAY below. Still won 89 games.
  15. They are available for PTA meetings and Bocce ball.
  16. Time will tell what our prospect pool is or whether or not it will yield anything at the MLB level. Just three years ago it was touted as top 5 and had as many as 7 prospects in the top 100. The Jays traded most of them away and they've all fizzled out and done nothing. I think Kirk is the only one still here and making an impact. Pearson is another but he's had next to no impact so far. Meanwhile a guy like Bowden Francis is about to start the season in the rotation. As for Atkins, I doubt he's in as much danger as people like to think. I guess we'll find out if this team flops and misses the playoffs or fails to win a playoff game again.
  17. When I looked at the Jays depth chart early in the off season, I did not have Wes Parsons on my bingo card as a potential starter/long man at the MLB level. I saw him as one of the first options for DFAing to clear a spot on the 40 man. 31 year old journeyman and the Jays are squeezing blood from stone here. Impressive. Combine that with Francis being resurrected from looking near finished two years ago to actually being a solid reliever to now winning a rotation spot, to Robbie Ray going from the scrap heap to Cy Young winner, to Stripling going from mid reliever to solid starter for the Jays, they made something out of Matz as well who they pulled from the scrap pile.....the Kikuchi turn around, Jays seem to be able to get the most out of mid pitchers.
  18. Joey Votto has a dead cat bounce, puts up 135 wRC+ in 400+ PA's and puts up close to 3 fWAR
  19. With Cooke, Danner and Juenger, the Jays look like they may have 3 pretty solid home grown high leverage relievers in the fold. Cooke and Juenger aren't on the 40 man yet but I suspect by seasons end they probably will be and all 3 of these guys will probably pitch some MLB innings, maybe sooner rather than later with some arms already hurting. Hopefully this is just the beginning of the pipeline opening up, it'll be nice not having to dish out too much money on relievers going forward because they keep developing them in house.
  20. Gotta be either Little or Zulu I would imagine. Or maybe even Pop. Can't see them DFAing Danner.
  21. I'd like to see Danner in MLB over Pop with Romano and Swanson on the IL. He had a decent spring and misses mote bats than Pop. And hopefully this is Pearson's coming out party as a legit high leverage reliever
  22. High hopes for those two. Really need them to lead the next wave and it would sure be nice if they could hold their current positions up the middle of the diamond
  23. Henry is a 4th string catcher, he's going to have holes in his game somewhere lmao Way to much thought going into this If Kirk or Jansen end up being out long term they can find someone elsewhere via trade or waivers if Henry isn't picking up the slack. They snagged Serven off waivers a couple months ago
