    Its really interesting aswell that before the well ran dry from about 2004 to 2017-2018 n terms of home grown position players there were actually quite a few very successfully home grown guys like Wells, Rios, Delgado, Green, Cruz Jr, Shannon Stewart. Those mid 2000 teams could have atleast had a couple of wild card runs if a couple of young position players broke through.

    Yosver Zulueta absolute filth tonight. 4 ip, 1 h, 1 bb, 7k. Topped out at 98.6! This kid could be special. Hope he moves quickly.

    So now that Espinal looks like a legit above average hitter when do he move up in the lineup. I think he would be a good leadoff hitter. Drop Bo to 4th and go Espy, Springer, Vlad top 3.

    Do you have reading skills?? I was talking about his ability to hit high velo fastballs not his overall hitting skill. It's been known since 2020 that he struggles against good velocity.

    We've known this for a couple years now. Thats nothing new. The league adjusted to him and he hasn't adjusted back.

    Just to avoid arbitration. Could be really good for next year when he would have asked for like 18 million after he puts up a 5 war 2022.

    I said in a another thread comping to the Olson trade gets you close to groshans, pearson, Kirk and hoglund. With hoglund gone maybe you put in orelvis instead and get another another small piece back?

    Well Joc would get starter atbats vs rhp. And with conforto we would have to make room like I said. Probably would mean Gurriel to dh/1b or maybe a trade.

    A lefty who can come off the bench or dh aka Dickerson, Joc. Maybe somehow clear some room and get conforto. Maybe I'm placing too much importance on handedness balance.

    Oakland has no leverage here, everyone knows they are desperate to shed $$$. Chapman coming off his worst offensive season should make the cost significantly less than Olson who got a pretty underwhelming return for a 6 win player.
